I would be tempted to place a large mirror directly across from them....they would likely be so fascinated with their own reflection they wouldn't notice anything else on the street.
High, strong fences, make good neighbors.

Well,
It sounds like they can't afford a TV and you are their favorite daytime show!
Feel bad for them because the most excitement that they have in their horribly pathetic lives is booze in a garage- yuck! (if you tell us that they're sitting on aluminum folding chairs, I think I'll pass out laughing!).
All you can do is tune them out and go about your interesting, normal life or you can do a good deed which will make you and them feel better: If you have a few extra bucks, you could get a used TV from a thrift shop and leave it on their doorstep. It might just be the kindest thing anyone has ever done for them! You could even take up a neighborhood collection and give them it as a group gift. I think that it might actually change their behavior! (If you get a long extension cord, you could set them up in the BACK YARD! LOL)
Good luck & let us know what happens!

Sorry, but I find it funny although realize it isn't to you.
You might think of talking to your local police about what you could do.
They are on their own property and sitting in their garage (I can't stop laughing), so not sure of the public intoxication aspect of this. However, the nasty comments and, of course, in front of your child are not appropriate, more of a harassment issue?
Loved your aunt's comment by the way. I would be openly laughing at them - they are the real thing. Pity them, boring, boring life.

Man, that would bother me, too. Can you complain to your landlord? Maybe make a non-emergency report to the police because you're being harassed? Do you live in an association? If you do you can complain to the property manager.
I'm sorry you have to deal with those low-life's...good luck.

She could just be looking out the window in your direction. If you think she's watching you then close your curtains.

Kessie, you be right in your answer. Hard as it may seem you have no choice but to ignore them. You don't want to move, they will continue to be drunks, thus you have no choice but to ignore them. However, should they continue to directly harass you, then report them, report them, report them, eventually something will happen to them. No matter what anyone says, the good people always win...!!!

Maybe you should try setting up a video camera on a tripod in your front yard directed at them.
You have my sympathy, they sound like jerks.

You can't change their behavior - only yours. Ignore them and I mean totally. Get yourself to the point that you don't even see them anymore. Poof! They no longer exist. If you don't add fuel to the fire, it'll extinguish itself.
