The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey is actually a pretty good read. I lost interest at the Book of Bilail though because it stops talking about their philosophy and starts talking about magick and rituals and as I don't believe in magick it was impossible to take it seriously.
I am not a Satanist and I have no interest in becoming one, I am happy being an atheist. I was just wondering if any Christians have actually read the Satanic Bible, particularly the Book of Satan and The Infernal Diatribe as Christians seem set on blaming every misfortune on Satan.

Anybody ever hear the phrase "know your enemy"? I'm not Christian and I've read it. It was an interesting book but I don't buy into its philosophy but I wanted a better understanding of Satanism. It isn't even about Satan/christian devil. Read it and find out for yourself. Anton LeVey was a genius in a warped sort of way!

We are all given choices. I not think everything bad is Satan's fault. Many blame wars on God. I really not think those are God's fault. Though many used God as their excuse for wars. But, many people do that. There was a comedian named Flip Wilson, he used to joke "The devil made me do it"! I think it made a good example of how people make choices yet blame those choices on others. I never read the Satanic bible, not read the Koran, book of Mormon etc. and not really want too, but, I can assume they probably have a lot of good things to say. I have had misfortune and maybe Satan was involved, but, maybe God was to test my faith, it not matter to me. I just turn to God when things go wrong or good my fault or others and not point fingers at anyone, it just part of life. God never promised me it be all Peaches and Cream. In fact, it probably be kind of boring if it was.

Yeah, I read part of it. It sounded a lot like a platform for the Libertarian Party. Lots of common sense, but no compassion. No, I didn't read any of the wacky stuff.
I also read the Quran and the Hadith, which are a hell of a lot scarier than the satanic bible, if you pardon the pun.
Satan is only one dude, he doesn't cause all badness. Badness happens because the world is broken and we can't fix it.

And why should I bother reading something about the Master of Lies?
Christians don't blame every bad thing that happens on Satan, but on SIN. Satan is not sin. He is the author of many bad things, that is true, but not EVERY bad thing.

NO thats a little like picking up a rattle snake you can see its rattle clear as day (satan) if it bites you,,, its too late.. you cant go wrong if its the bible only , if satans lurking in those pages You can always say( hay everybody was all - this is ok , you can read this - its like the word of god and stuff ) so far your the only one who has ever mentioned the satanic version,,,, You arn't ..... ~

Anton LaVey must know Satan pretty well...haha...not. Satan is nothing but a liar and a thief. Whatever is written in that book is nothing but a joke. You really think Satan and his ways are correctly portrayed in that book. Read the bible if you want to know what Satan is really like.

they outlined some of the main points
sorta like the ten commandments of satanism

First of all, everyone creates their own misfortunes. Then, their is no satan, that's weird that there is a satan bible, I will never read it. God Bless

I haven't read it...but who says I blame it on Satan? I blame bad things on myself for my loss of faith in God...and those bad things are just a little reminded from God "Hey...pay attention!"

You need to beware about getting into such mysteries as Belail.
I have fought with satan. I have been choked by a demon.
Satan has many names and wears many masks. He is a deciever and a killer. he will kill anything that gets in his way
