The average life span is somewhere between 5 and 7 years. With the best of care and if the guinea pig has no medical problems they can live for up to 10 years. The guiness world record is 14 years and 10.5 months.

3 isn't old at all! He is maybe just getting "over the hill."

My pig Rodney is 4, and in awesome shape. Then again, his not even 1 year old friend keeps him in shape!

Yes, your girl is in her "senior" years, but with lots of good care & love, she may have several more!

Like everyone else said, piggies live, on average, between five & seven years. More, if they are well taken care of.

5-7 is considered average with good care. I had one many years ago live to 9! Very unusual! :)
