It seems to me that the whole "because they don't belive in Christ the way I do" arguement is pretty much the entire basis for other Christians claiming Mormons aren't Christian. Yeah, it might seem like a pretty lame arguement, but I personally have yet to see anyone try to use a different arguement whenever this topic comes up (heck, even take a look at some of the answers here - don't they all fit into that arguement in some way?).

We are as Christian as we can be. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was founded by Christ and He is the cornerstone thereof. The foundation is then made of apostles and prophets and the rock of revelation. We follow Christ, we worship Christ, we teach of Christ and strive daily to become more like Christ. If our detractors have a problem with that stance, then they need to examine themselves and see if they are truly trying to be Christlike.

Can you conceive of a belief in Jesus that would not be Christian? I would say that going against his word would be such a belief. In the Bible Jesus says that He is the only God and he knows of no other. Mormons believe in multiple Gods. Jesus said the good Samaritan and the murderer on the cross would be with him in heaven. They had not been through the LDS temple or given their lives to the "true" church. Christ said there is no marriage in heaven. Mormon doctrine has people married for time and eternity. The Bible and the book of Mormon accounts of Christs teachings have no mention of Jesus speaking about the importance of temple marriage or wearing sacred garments or baptism for the dead or temple sealings. Those were not even mentioned by our savior, but now this is some of the most sacred of all his LDS Church activities. He must have just forgot to tell us himself, or these are the things that make the LDS church unchristian.

I am Mormon and I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I believe that he atoned for not only my sins, but the sins of all mankind. I believe that I am saved through the acts of his grace and that I cannot be saved unless I believe in him.
Is that not Christian? I do not know why others cannot accept the fact that Mormons are Christian. Perhaps others own a problem of acceptance.

The people that say we are not Christians are ignorant. We are also not a cult!
"Mormon" is a nick-name. I belong to the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints - notice the part that is emphasized.

I am a "mormon." Thats a good question, and we are Christians. Jesus Christ is even in the title of our church, lol. He is our Alpha and Omega, not Brother Joseph.

They do not worship the God of the Holy bible! They have been tricked. I feel so sad for them, I pray the veil, bought down in front of them, be lifted, for God has torn the veil, at calvary, once and for ever! through the blood of Christ.
