my friend says mike tyson could beat bruce in a fight. (let's pretend they're both in their prime) i disagree. mike is stronger than bruce, however bruce is quicker, more agile, and has more skill. i know someone's gonna say it, but chuck norris would lose! it's happened many times.

Well, Jet Li would put up a pretty good fight. And i know this may sound funny, but Jackie Chan would also (he has worked with Bruce many times when he was younger). but i think the person who would beat Bruce would not be someone famous, definitely not Mike Tyson. It would be some martial arts expert few people have heard of.

yea...bruce lee can be beaten hes not god therefore not perfect therefore beatable.

i might get bashed by hardcore bruce lee fans but since i havent actually seen any real accounts of his fights i cant give him credit as being the "best". now i will give the man the respect he deserves he encouraged full contact sparring, using what works in a fight, and trained alot, and you can tell from his moves that he has technique but he could be beaten

also depending on the type of match. bruce lee against tyson in a boxing match....bruce would get destroyed. in a mma/kickboxing match/ street fight. bruce lee would be able to use leg kicks to keep tyson away then maybe or in a streetfight where he could use eye gouges, kickin in the nuts etc...then his chances increase some since tyson obviously only knows how to box

dont forget weight and reach plays a factor in fighting bruce was a small guy techniques can make up to a certain extent but a huge weight advantage is hard to overcome against another skilled opponent thats why boxing, mma, wrestling etc have weight classes cause even though a flyweight(112lb) boxer might be more skillfull and faster than a heavyweight(202lbs) if the flywight steps in a ring against a heavyweight he can get seriously injured

also please do not dont just look at a movie and see that an actor is "fast" and kicks @$$ in the movie and equate that to good real life fighting. someone earlier said jet li. i'll give jet li credit he is incredibly fast wonderful performer and im sure he knows enough martial arts to beat the average joe but i wouldnt rank him as the one of the best fighters in the world. i know you're thinking but he was a wushu champ....but he was the champ katas not even sparring aspect of wushu. i can go to youtube and show you plenty of extreme martial artists that can perform moves with amazing speed and accuracy doesnt mean they are great fighters.

now i have alot of respect bruce and jet im just trying to seperate fact from fiction

Pound for pound Bruce Lee was the strongest man of his generation. You won't find many arguments against that. What is the fighting format? Is it a boxing match? Free for all? Where does the fight take place... weapons involved? There are a lot of factors.
Tyson is one of the most overrated fighters of his generation and, except in maybe a pure boxing match, Bruce Lee would win every time.

SUPERMAN3 obviously doesn't know who Bruce Lee really was. Bruce Lee was a real martial arts professional and actually invented alot of the moves.
BLUTO should actually do some studying on Bruce Lee. When he made the comment on Mohammad Ali, he was joking about it and was being friendly to HIS friend.
Physical size doesn't determine if a guy can beat anyone.........It is the KNOWLEDGE and SPEED of a fighter. Bruce was very observant of his opponents and could predict moves 95% of the time.

You guys are retarded, tyson would whoop the **** outta bruce lee. There is so much more about fighting than speed. There is power, toughness, and killer instinct. Yeah bruce lee knows a bunch of karate but he doesnt have the size of tyson. Tyson was 220 lbs and lee weighed in at around 126-145 lbs. Tyson could also take hits. Tyson was a pretty good boxer, not a great one or legand but he would still take out a 126 lbs lee

Bruce Lee would be pretty much undefeatable today. Mike Tyson is too slow to compete with Bruce.......although I think Bruce would have fun with it.

I don't know who could take out Bruce Lee, but it would not be Mike Tyson!!

The only thing that could stop him was a bullet. R.I.P. Bruce

i know for a fact that Bruce lee is the definition of mma he studied in Jet Kune Do Bruce lee is pretty much unstoppable but i do think a bjj (Brazilian jiu jitsu) fighter would beat Bruce in a fight. just because i know Bruce in his studies of Jeet Kune Do did not really focus on ground and that is why i think the only thing that can stop Bruce is ground fighting.

I love how fanboys have time to take thier head out of bruce's *** to write things even bruce lee himself did not believe.

BRUCE LEE ADMITTED THAT MUHAMMAD ALI WOULD KICK HIS ***!

Bruce lee recognized the limitations of a person's physical size. Why the hell don't you fan boys do some research in between watching naruto and my little pony?

If you took a prime aged bruce lee and teleported him from the past into a present day mma fight against a high ranked fighter. he would get destroyed. If you gave him time to train... who knows. He's dead so nobody knows. he'd lose for damn sure if he faught anyone too much above his weightclass.
