O-k, my Mommy Mouse Gloria, gave birth to 11 healthy baby's.... almost 2 weeks ago.... well now this has never happened before ever out of all of her litters. i think she might have abandoned a very healthy baby.. The baby rolled out of the nest and cant climb back in so she is ignoring it. its all alone and cold and she just passes it by... it might die!
so i thought maybe i can put them in a separate cage together... but i might face the chance of her eating it from not excepting it... or of it starving and being cold. I cant hand raise it. so my dad says that if she doesn't end up keeping it, its going to be a feast for one of are water dragons.....
Do you think I 'm on to a good plan or is there anything i could do without abandonment of the whole litter?!

If a two week old baby mouse rolled out of the nest and is unable to get back in I doubt if it is healthy. I've got tons of experience working with mice as well as keeping them for pets and I have seen two and three day old pinks have no trouble relocating the litter/nest when accidentally separated, as in during cage cleaning.

I would trust the mother's instincts on this one and assume there is a good reason why she abandoned this pup. Feeding to your water dragon is not a bad idea. It will provide it with a high protein snack while eliminating a potentially unhealthy mouse.

First, warm the abandoned baby in your hands so it is as warm as the others. Then put it back in the nest.
Your pups have fur and are almost ready to open their eyes and start running around, so if she hasn't abandoned it yet, she probably isn't going to. It might not even be too cold, but it will need to eat!

Around two weeks of age they begin to nibble solid food, so make sure he/she has some nearby and can reach the water bottle. My two week olds can enter and leave the nest on their own, although they are wobbly and don't wander around much. If this one is unable to get back to the nest and the mom is ignoring it, something probably is wrong with him/her. However, you could remove the mom (put her in another cage/tank or plastic container, so she doesn't see you) and put him/her back in the nest yourself. If it makes you feel better, you can rub your hands in the bedding before handling, but it seldom matters. In most cases, it's safe to handle them from three days of age and up, providing you don't do it in front of her. Good luck.

Can't you just put it back in the nest? The mom may just be so busy taking care of that large litter that she doesn't have time to go after one that rolled out. If there is truly something wrong with it, it probably won't make it anyway.

This is very easy all you do is buy Rubber Gloves with no scent and put the baby back in the nest. if she isn't getting fed you have to hand raise it

If she won't accept the baby, you can try to hand ween it yourself. I raised our wild house mouse, Critter, on this guide: http://www.ratfanclub.org/orphans.html .
