It depends on your belief. You are asking on an United States version of Y&A. If you asked on an Asian countrie's version you would get buddhist believers. Don't pay attention to these people that won't even consider it.
-buddhist with some Christian belief
if you want to learn about buddhism; which believes in reincarnation
send ME an e-mail
NOT these people that don't even consider it. Of course they are going to say no, they do not believe in buddhism. Just like Muslims don't believe in Jesus being a savior.
TO SOME OF THE ANSWERERS...
*JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE CLAIMS TO BE JOAN OF ARC DOESN'T MAKE REINCARNATION INVALID. THERE ARE CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS KILLING EACH OTHER. THAT DOESN'T MAKE THE TEACHING OF LOVING THY NEIGHBOR IRRELEVANT.
*IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE HUMAN POPULATION IS INCREASING. YOU CAN REINCARNATE FROM ANYTHING LIVING ACCORDING TO BUDDHISM. WHICH INCLUDES ANIMALS. HAVEN'T YOU NOTICED THE DECREASING POPULATIONS OF ENDANGERED SPECIES? PEOPLE CAN BE ANIMALS OR PLANTS IN A PAST LIFE!
To conclude for now,
if buddhism was that stupid as some of these people seem to act like, then why is it the primary religon in Asia?

The only way you will be able to answer that question satisfactorily is with direct knowledge, which entails a practice of breathing (insight) meditation. It would likely take you years to get to a point where you would have that direct knowledge, but you would experience the benifits of a better memory, thicker neocortex (glial cells, which Einstein had an abnomrally high count of, grow at a higher rate in breath meditators), lower blood pressure, and a happier life. I'll post a link below for a MP3 of Ajahn Brahm going over the "Mindfulness of Breathing" sutra. Ajahn Brahm is a theoretical physics Ph.D from Cambridge U in England who became a Buddhist monk. I know this wasn't the answer you were looking for, but the only way you will directly know is to look for yourself. Hope this helps!

Yes, reincarnation is real. It is greatly misunderstood, but it is real. All of nature is evidence of rebirth.

In my opinon, n-o.
But then again, God did say that He is faithful to complete the perfect work that He began in you (Phil. 1:6).
So, in that case, He will continue the work which he began in someone through someone else until that work is complete.
Therefore, I must change my answer to perhaps.

When I was a king in a past life I had my wise men research this. They said no. The other day, I dug up some worms in my garden, one said, "Oh king from a past life, remember me? I was one of your wise men". I looked at him, smiled and said; "Great, let's go fishing together".

I believe it is. Actually I have no doubts whatsoever. It doesn't make sense to me that there would be only one lifetime to learn all there is to learn, to mature spiritually and do everything we're meant to do.
Most children will speak of previous lives. Many adults have vivid memories.
It's up to you to believe what feels right for you. For me, nothing else makes sense.

i believe it is. i think we come here to learn and to grow as spiritual beings.
have you ever met someone and you felt like you've known them forever, or took an instant dislike to? you probably knew them in a previous life.
good luck in your search.

yes, it absolutely is.
for the peopple who say "well the population is higher now!" lol. what a joke. it only proves you don't know how it works, or have any interest in finding out. in simple... thats not a problem. why would you assume there was a finite number of souls, or that here (this world) is the only place they existed?
