It is written in the book of Revelation:
"The anti-christ will be beautiful and charming and attended by a host of butterflies -- even when riding in a car".
Really!! It's in there, somewhere.

Some believe a butterfly is a sign of the other side, perhaps a loved one. Also it is a sign of transformation since the butterfly has transformed from a cocoon state. Perhaps you need to look into a portion of your life that needs changing. Last, but no least...Long ago when Christianity was becoming popular and being Pagan was becoming deadly (persecution) Pagans would wear a symbol of the butterfly or a piece of jewelry in the form of a butterfly so other Pagans would know their brothers/sisters.

Butterflies are a symbol of change since the butterfly itself goes through a complex metamorphosis to only live long enough to procreate, lay eggs/inseminate and die. These creatures often explain the errors of not living our lives to the fullest when we have a finite amount of time on this planet. It also show that life is a circle.
I would say that there is something you want or need to do but you are afraid of hurting someone or you might feel guilty about accepting what you want. Live your life and let others live theirs. You can't let others live their life through you.
And the crystal ball is holding up a sign that says, "that's all folks."
I do want to say something to other people who choose to believe that their religion is right and others are wrong. Why must you always but in on questions that your answers have not been asked of. I don't answer Christian posts unless they are asking about something that I have read in your Bible. I've taken theology classes and I am an ordained minister, I am just not a Christian. World Religions is a fantastic course and something that all religions who profess to have the true religion should study. Maybe you should get to know your other religious cousins! It could be the first step towards... peace. Religion has been the largest contributor to death through out times, so doesn't this fact just make you wonder why. I'll give you a hint... "my way or the highway."

I keep seeing butterflies and although they are common to my area, they are not something that I have ever seen so many of. I would like to know the spiritual or folklore behind seing butterflies. What is there meaning? I keep seeing them, particularly when I am in the car, and the following along...

In general butterflies are symbolic of freedom and lightness. In some countries they were believed to be the souls of those who have passed on. And there was a belief in ancient times that butterflies were witches or fairies in disguise that would steal the milk, cream or butter (hence the name "butterflies"). Also, the belief that butterflies are representations of Mary's tears comes from Romania. Hope this helps----Blessings!

we used to have a record called bullfrogs & butterflies. the song said that they'd both been born again. a butterfly was just once a little 'ol catapillar & it went into it's cocoon one day and it woke up a beautiful butterfly. it kind of represents who we were before Christ...now we're all beautiful butterflies. a little silly, but fun none-the-less ;)

I think sometimes God uses His creation to touch people's lives in a special way. Hard to explain. But, I have read some interesting stories.
The second link is full of stories.

It is that time of the year for the 'flying flowers'. Nothing mysterious about it.

Nothing whatsoever.
Stop trying to assign meaning to every little thing. Reality doesn't exist to give you random 'clues' to things.
