I am an American who now lives in the Philippines. I own a resturant here. As a "promo" I give free popcorn when customers order 2 big beers. I almost called the food police when I saw locals putting ketchup on the popcorn! Is this common here? For Crist sake..is nothing sacred, anymore? he he he

I'm in the U.S., but the thought of ketchup on a lot of things is gross to me. I can't really talk, though - my favorite popcorn is covered in Taco Bell hot sauce and parmesan cheese!

I still prefer butter or margarine on my popcorn, so I'll save the ketchup for my scrambled eggs.

Love it i just had popcorn with ketchup you should try it. I can't eat my popcorn no other way.

Ewwww, I've never heard of such...and I'm a southern girl...we eat sauces on everything...stick with butter, not ketchup.

call the food police. to me that is a way of telling you the popcorn tastes bad. try this recipe... put oregano, red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese...
