After our school year ended I've been very quiet and not very social and I'm starting to feel bad. I'm usually very attached to my best friend and I feel like we've grown apart. I also feel like I've been sort of distant from my boyfriend of 10 months. What could be wrong with me? I don't enjoy the same things anymore. I used to love going outside and hanging out with my bf and friends but now i just want to sit in my room.

Please go talk to your doctor...no one needs to feel depressed...get help.

It could just be a passing thing triggered by the school year ending, or it could be full blown depression. It's not uncommon to go into a temporary "funk." Give yourself a little time away from your friends and boyfriend. If you still feel unhappy in a few weeks, you probably should talk to a mental health care counselor.

It's not uncommon to have temporary periods where being a loner seems appropriate, especially when a person is young and changes occur frequently and rapidly.

Are you communicating your feelings to these friends, or just letting the chips fall where they may?

Maybe you need to make new friends, or get out and find a group or an activity that will put you in contact with people you have more in common with.

it sounds like you may be suffering from depression. You should try and confide into a parent about how you have been feeling, and you should go talk to a doctor or even a counselor if you don't feel comfortable talking with your parents. All of your symptoms are really showing signs of depression so I would take it seriously.

I'm so sorry that you feel bad. It sounds like depression. Depression can be brought about by several different things. You may want to talk to your doctor and get some help to get over this. You shouldn't have to suffer needlessly. Good Luck! :)

Yikes babe, sounds like depression. Been there, done that. Best advice is to give your doctor a call and discuss how you're feeling. She'll get you headed in the right direction.
