Our wedding is next year and I love fresh lemons so was wondering if anyone had any ideas for lemon centerpieces. I'd like an elegant touch! I'm tossing around ideas for our wedding and really don't have a clue where to start. I like so many colors but not a lot of people do yellow tones and I would like our wedding to stand out and be a little different than the "norm".

At a recent wedding expo, I saw the most beautiful, simple centerpieces made with fruits. They used tall clear glass vases (round, square or rectangular, whichever you prefer) and filled them about 2/3 with fresh fruit, then filled the vases with water and floated a candle on top. The vase was set on a mirror, with silk flower petals scattered around. Some of the centerpieces used whole fruits (the cherries looked spectacular), and others were cut. One of them was lemons sliced into thick rounds, but another used whole citrus fruit (mixed lemons, limes and tangerines). They all looked great.

A fresh fruit bowl might be nice or a lemon tree made out of fresh lemons (start with a circle of five at the bottom and then stack them until there is one at the top, sort of like a triangle) and garnished with different color leaves.

It's your wedding, your special day - you use what you like.
I'd go for lemons on the branch (not huge obviously) as the centre of arrangements that will not eclipse their shape and scent - lots of green and white. (I'm not married, just an art teacher) Ferns would be a good accompaniment, so would ivy and white and yellow gerberas.
You have a lovely idea - don't let any fuddy duddies change it. Have a wonderful day!

Lemon trees. Small terracotta pots, sprayed whatever colour you wish, to match the wedding. Find an interesting branch that is sturdy. Spray paint it whatever colour. Set the branch in the pot using craft plaster of paris. Impale lemons on each branch and tie ribbons on as well, they can either stream down under the lemons or tie bows. It looks effective.

Simple vase just large enough to hold 3 or 4 lemons. Keep the centerpiece low so people can see across the table.
The wedding we are planning we are hoping to do double duty with them so they can be door prizes. We are thinking of getting assorted fruits cut up to look like a bouquet.

Honestly the first thing that came to mind was curls of lemon peels some how intermixed on the center pieces. Around candles, floating with candles or flowers, or something like that. It should give you the lemony feel/smell without necessarily having lemons there.

Take tall cylinder vases, pretty wide, and fill about half way full with the lemons. Add the water on top and then fill with mostly greens and some white florals.

There are some fireless candles that some shops sell and that they appear like genuine candles yet extremely of a wick, they have a mild bulb (the scale of Christmass tree lights) in them. It has the comparable effect as a genuine candle...it even glints like genuine candles. they arrive in many differnt sizes and types. The customer won't have the skill to tell that the "flames" are no longer genuine till the seem into the candle. i think of the call of them is "eternal Candle" or something like that! Congrats and sturdy luck! optimistically this helps. countless the shops I actual have seen them are mattress, tub, and previous, Linens-n-issues, objective, etc.

you can always put a fruit bowl as the center piece, with lemons, limes, and oranges - keep it all citrius, or mix it up.

I have been to a wedding where our name cards on the tables were apples with stickers on them, it was really cute and inventive!
