I'm talking about the speed in the commercials. I swear to God, in the commercial, they drive like freakin' 75 mph when what, people aren't allowed to actually go that fast in real life as far as I know. I don't like it. I don't like that false advertising. I really hope they chage the speed law up to 65 mph. 55 mph, in my opinion, is too slow, espcially when cars have better responsive speed and braking than those big boats like
Ford Galaxies from 30 years ago, don't you agree?
With all that speed advertising in car commercials, that makes it a cruel tease if the speed limit is still a slow 55 mph.

Many of the commercials are shot on closed courses, where higher speeds can be reached.
However, what I have always disliked is the deceiving gas mileage they advertise.

If the car actually CAN go 75, it is not false advertising to show it doing so. Where is the speed limit NOT 65 or more? What you don't know about the commercial is that in many cases, the car is not moving at all. The background is recorded separately an the car is added to the tape after the fact.

It might just be trick photography that makes it look like they're going faster. I also live in FL and the speed limit here is 70mph and on I-95 they go about 90-95 mph. I'm having a hard time figuring out what the false advertising is though??? I mean the car is capable of going 75mph, and there are tracks where even untrained people can take their car and go faster than the speed limit on reg roads, so what part exactly was false advertising???

The speed limit is higher than 55 MPH in many areas.
My complaint with car commercials is they like to show the car in an angled skid coming to a stop. Yeah, seeing a car out of control in an emergency braking mode really makes me want to buy it.

There are places where the limit is 70, like some highways here in Florida. People routinely do 75 or 80.

Is it okay to you when they pay someone to make a PERFECT, even artistic-looking hamburger? Is it okay that that's GLUE on the cereal in the picture on the box? There is a truth in advertising: Sell the sizzle. It's all about hype. Puffery. Putting the best food forward.
More importantly, it's legal. And most importantly, it works! Zoom, zoom.

It annoys me, too, but, what amuses me is that the car is usually zipping along on a deserted road, when was the last time you had the road all to yourself? it's just advertising, not a reflection of the real world.

The Skyline is a greater ideal automobile, yet in the states the 3000GT is the closest you will get to it. We never have been given to verify the Skyline, yet we can get to verify a GT-R!! despite if not a Skyline (that's a similar element because of the fact the Infinity G37 right here).
