Yes I think you have a valid point here. Its very hard though being brought up within a certain religion when you know damn well it is hypocritical and you have so many issues against your own religion, but certain parts of you agree with certain aspects = it does make you loyal to your religion even though you know there are major flaws. I am a perfect example of this.

it cannot be otherwise as if the religion is that with God then it is to God the loyalty is owed even if some moral codes are not followed .if it is adultery this they should not try as God did not make people to be saints.if worse as in killing when it says not to then it is not God who did the killing in which case the loyalty is to the killers and killing not to God. same if boys molested priests cannot claim heaven and are hypocrites if they claim any authority. no in some cases not everyone is loyal. There areother examples of disloyalty and abuse of Rank and hypocrisy which are called Rankism which happen elsewhere as well but anywhere it does this is what it is called.

Religion loyalty is not a must. Loyalty to God and His Word is where the believers and the unbelievers are separated. Even the hypocrite has belief, maybe even loyalty. He just can't acknowledge the plank in his eys for looking at the speck of saw dust in his neighbors eye.

Yeah. One thing about religion is that people are people, and religion was made by people. No matter what someone believes, religion was carried on by people, and people make mistakes and have flaws. Even though there are some bad people who do things in the name of their religion, doesn't discount the good principles a religion is based on.

I am sure there are some people that are not loyal to their religion, and I am sure there are many hypocrites.
I however, personally remain faithful and loyal to my faith, and don't let hypocrites get in my way.

Not everyone is loyal to their religion. The Bible warns us about such people. But there are many faithful and loyal followers. Remember the apostles, 11 faithful ones, and 1 traitor.

There are hypocrites everywhere, not just in religion. How another acts, doesn't effect how I am within my beliefs.

I thought that people were supposed to be loyal to God, and that belonging to a particular religion was simply a means to that end.

I choose to not follow religion because religion is based on a bunch of rules and regulations. Now if you want to talk spirituality, I'm all ears.

News flash- Everyone's a hypocrite at one time or another. You can't get away from them because you're one of them.
