when i tell an atheist about my religion they seem to be interested and don't tell me over and over how i'm wrong [maybe because christians tend to tell them there going to hell , just like they tell me]

and christians are always the ones to jump out and tell me to change my ways... i'm on the path to hell... or something about Jesus

[if you are wondering i'm in The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn]

Because some Christians feel like it is effective to bash all the religions that they feel are wrong. Atheists (at least my perception- correct me if i'm wrong) are interested in all theories (except Christianity :-) ) beacuse they are usually scientific-mined. I am a Christian myself, but I think no one should ever make you feel like less of a person for what you believe.

I am interested in you religion, if you could message and explain it to me, i would appreciate it very much. Thanks.

Hhmm The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn? I don't think I have ever heard of that. Interesting. Its been awhile sense I heard of a religion I don't know at least something about. Think you can give me some info on it? Or at least point me in the general direction that I might find said info.

Oh and they tell you they are wrong because they have minds like a closed door with a twenty pound padlock on it...

Never heard of The Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn, but there are many things I've never heard of.

I've noticed the same thing. Those who call themselves Christians are the ones who react the most violently (verbally and emotionally) to non-Christian beliefs, where every non-Christian (whether they believe in God or not) I've met is quite loving, understanding, and accepting of other's beliefs, including Christianity.

Perhaps that's because, somewhere deep inside, they know how fragile their belief system really is.

Thelemic Order of the Golden Dawn . . . never heard of it

The "Will of the Christian God" Order of the Golden Dawn? Ancient Greek?

As an atheist I try to be as open minded as I possibly can. Christians already have a mindset that unless you follow their path you are going to hell. It's almost as if upon accepting the religion they are accepting hard headed-ness as one of their characteristics. I've never heard of you're religion I would very much like to learn about it.

If you want to delude yourself that there is some kind of gods or higher power, that is your business. As long as a person keeps their religion to themselves, what do I care?

I think that you are *wrong* in that I think all religious belief and practice is a HUGE waste of time, but it is your time to waste.

My best guess (on the atheist point of view) would be that they would, at worst, think you're simply deluding yourself. Whereas a Christian would believe that you are damning yourself.

Because Christian's think they know the ONE TRUE PATH.

Athiests just don't care what you believe in, really.

Because Christians are more judgmental than athiests

Probably because most atheists are very open minded people. Most of us don't care what people believe as long as they don't try to force it on us or make laws in regards to their religious beliefs.
