I have Cox as my internet provider and only use my cell phone as my means of calling. Is anyone else like that? I am having second thoughts that I might need a home phone. However I do not make many calls nor do I receive many calls. Input??

I use my cell phone for long distance and about 90% of all calls. I got my home phone service dropped to the most basic possible. I had origianlly wanted to delete it. 911 and some other conveniences are a consideration. Call your local telephone service provider and see how much you save by going to the extreme basic "lowest possible".
You may be surprised.

u can also look into voip service.
basic stuff about $10.00 per mo.
