Even if I'm a catholic and have stayed in a Christian boarding school? Been in a choir and actually evangelized when I was younger?

Don't get me wrong, I love the bible... but I also love works by Shakespeare...
Its just that recently I'm expected to go to church even if I don't want to. And I really stopped praying a long time ago being that it didn't make any difference. And analyzing the bible and looking into other religions just made it seem like literature passed on by word of mouth until it was edited and finally written.

One of the faithful will jump all over you when you make a claim such as "God does not exist." They'll want you to prove your claim. You can't. I think you'd be more correct by saying that you've seen no evidence to suggest to you that god exists. That way, like me, you can shift the burden of proof onto them when they make a claim such as, "God does exist and he created the universe in a week six thousand years ago." Works for me.

ARE you right? That is the debate on this board and throughout history. What is definite is that you HAVE the right. A belief can't be required. It is very superficial if out of obligation.
I went to catholic school and was an alter boy. Since, I have proclaimed myself agnostic and today lean toward Buddhism.

No. It is WE who do not exist. Quantum science has proved that we are nothing more than distortions of the time/space continuum. So, it is the height of arrogance for us, who have no real existence, to point the finger at our Creator and insist that that said Creator is the one who "does not exist". PS, just because you have dumped a RELIGION does not automatically invalidate the existence of God, you know. "God" and "religion" are NOT one and the same thing.

Absolutely!
I was raised catholic and spent 13 years in catholic schools, was an altar server, and used to be a devout catholic. Now I'm pretty much the athy-est atheist in my town!

You are right to believe and say whatever you want. Don't let a fundamentalist tell you any differently.
I was baptized and given communion. I didn't understand any of that at the time and I don't believe any of it now.
If you are Catholic, you are unusual in believing that God does not exist (never heard of that combination before). You might be confused or unsure of your true beliefs and your faith, but you can say whatever you want.

It's nice that you did all these things for the Christian faith, but have you experience God in your life? Have you given him time to show himself to you?
