What version of Windows Media Player is it?

To revert to the original player, Start > Control Panel > Add Remove Programs.

Then select Windows Media Player (11 if it's that one), then uninstall it. If you are using SP1, it will roll back to version 8. If you are using SP2, it will roll back to version 9.

Go to Start / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs / Remove WMP 11 and it will roll back to 10.

Facts.

You are running an ilegal copy of windows even if you could go back to the old player still wouldn't play it. Infact another month and your operating system will seaz to use it will expire.
