Doubt its in his room. My sister used to hide hers in the dirty laundry in her closet, and I only found it because I was hiding from my brother during a game of hide and seek and I thought that was someplace no one would ever go because it smelled so bad.
Do you have a garage or basement with lots of junk piles? Somewhere in the house or yard where no one could see or hear him, but he could go there pretty much unnoticed?
Instead of sneaking around, why not talk to him about it? My parents were both alcoholics, and when they quit, they not only talked to us consistently about the hazards of drinking, they also had us go to open A.A. meetings, where we heard stories that literally scared us straight. None of us drink excessively, which is just about a miracle being raised in an alcoholic home. What is even more amazing is that we can have a glass of wine at dinner and thats it for months. If your son is binge drinking, and he is young enough to still live at home, you need to really get involved NOW. Be strict, talk to him, and if you catch him drunk, call the police and ask them to put him in the drunk tank at the jail. You need to be strict and strong and consistent about this. But the first thing you need to do is TALK to him. See why he binge drinks. People who do this aren't usually doing it for fun, they are either very unhappy, feel peer pressure, are budding alcoholics who cannot stop, or figure its the only way to get your attention.
Good luck. One tool you have now that my parents didnt are cell phones. Insist he have that with him at all times. Call to check and see if he is where he says he is going. They are available with GPS built in so you can literally watch where he is. If you get one with this, don't tell him its there. Use it to see if he is lying about where he is. If he is, go there and bust him.
I know I am sounding very harsh, but I have experienced many sad events due to alcohol abuse. Teenage friends killed in car wrecks, my Uncle killed an entire family drunk driving (and himself), seen people ruin their lives, lose their families, get into the worst situations you can imagine. And all of those drinkers had one thing in common.....they started out as teenage binge drinkers and very few ended up with good lives. Only the ones who quit young. My cousin is the same age as me, and he started binge drinking in 7th grade. He is now 42, has lost more jobs than I can remember, lost his house, his wife, the custody (and respect) of his daughter, and is just one year sober now. He is back living with his mother now, because its the only way he can stay sober. His Mom just thought he was being a "normal teenaged boy" 25 years ago. Now she knows different. You know what he really wanted at that age? For his too busy divorced parents to spend TIME with him. They were both too busy with careers, new spouses, blended families, and their own dilemmas to pay any attention, so he turned to the bottle. On the other hand, I have three cousins who became substance abuse counselors because of my parents experience. They would talk to any kid, answer any question, had strict rules but the most loving and attentive ways after they quit drinking. I only got drunk once during my teenage years, and I was SOOOOO busted. Grounded for the whole summer because I should have known better. When I turned 21, I didn't go to a bar or have a drink, it really didn't matter to me. I actually met my Dad halfway between my job and his and we had dinner.
I hope this helps you and your son.

They can hide it in a number of places. Try everything that can be used as a container. Shampoo bottles, and and plastic containers those sort of things. If your son has taking to binge drinking it sounds that there is a serious problem there than just your normal teenage drinking. Have you sat down with your son and talked to him about this???

Check in drawers of all the house. Garage. Basically anywhere that's big enough to hide the bottle.
----Oh! And if you find it, sit it out and get some glasses out. Pur some and when he comes home or into the room, ask him if he wants some. And make sure it's obvious to him that you found the stash. That's an amusing and great way to bust him! :)

Honestly I drank as a teenager and I never really hid it anywhere. I would get some and drink it right away. dont know if anyone else is like me with that. If you have checked his whole room try checking somewhere like the garage or storage shed. or somewhere where if it is found he can deny that its his.

My daughter would put bottles in shopping bags. When she moved out due to some issues I found bottles and bottles in shopping bags hung on cupboard doors, in her closet, she had a little cabinet and they were hidden inthere, I found bottles in her shoe holder (a plastic bag hung in her closet, so one side would show a shoe but behind it was a bottle). Good luck with your son. It's a tough road.

Teenagers usually don't keep liquor long. They drink it the night they get it.

Throwing the alcohol away isnt going to solve his problem. Try and get him into rehab instead. If he is underage you can force him. If he is over 18 then quit enabling him by providing him a place to live.

-Pull open the bottem drawer of his dresser, it might be lying underneath on the carpet.
-Does he have a couch in his room, maybe in the couch.
-Between the mattress
-In cologne bottles
-In a box of junk
-celine light
-above curtins
Remember, he may even be hiding it in your bedroom or the kitchen, or the garage, just because he knows you won't look there.
Good Luck
