I've gone golfing a few times with a few cheap sets and I really like it so i want to go get clubs of better quality. Which brand do all you recommend. I'm trying to decide between Nike, Callaway, and Taylormade. I'm looking for the best quality for the best price.

the experts at a good store will have you test all the above brands and use computer analysis to help you decide. they will also help you with custom fitting those clubs

I myself have been golfing for 30 plus years...always had an old hand-me-down / garage sale set of clubs to use. One year I decided to purchase a new set of clubs. Bought the Callaway X-18 Irons and Big Bertha Titanium Driver, 3 wood, and 7 wood. I kid you not...knocked 10 strokes off of my game...Once a mid 80's golfer now hit 1 or 2 over par.

I would recommend Callaway to everybody...you can even buy them at a significantly reduced price @ http://callawaygolfpreowned.com/

and they come in great shape...like buying a pre-owned Mercedes. All the notoriety, half the price.

the 1st answer is good, hit all the brands you may want to buy and see which ones you like best and then get fitted for a set and have some one at a golf retailer help you through the process, the best clubs you can get are the ones that fit your game and swing.

Get fitted!!

That is all that matters!!

Any club will work if the specs are right.

Make sure you get fitted by a PGA Golf Professional as they can see any compensations you make for poorly fitted clubs. Launch monitors can give "good" readings for ill fitted clubs if there are compensations.

A PGA Professional will get you to a balanced swing and fit the club to that swing.

Also, try and hit the club where you can see ball flight.

Good luck.
