Colors affect us. Red, for instance, makes us hungry or excited. Blue relaxes. Green invigorates. Brown grounds us. So keeping in mind the function of your room - what you use it for most - you can make a decision yourself.
The first question of design is function! Once you figure that out, you'll be happy with your choice.

I find that I get bored looking at the same color everytime. Why not list out all the colors you like and choose from those a list of colors that go well together. You could use wallpapers or choose pastel paints in those colors. If you like bright colors, you go for painting sections/walls of your room in those colors. So you can have more color and that will make you be more lively.

I like Hot pink or a Bright Yellow. You dont have to paint the whole room that color, because sometimes that can turn out too over whelming. Even just paint one wall, and you can just accent it with curtains and accessories. It'd come out really cute! have fun!

1] paint it your favorite color.
2] get rainbow sheets, and paint walls sky blue with clouds.
3] Look in your closet, jewelry box, hair accessories - what colors do you feel good in?
4] decorate it like your favorite book: the Little Mermaid - sea green with shells, beach, and mermaid accessories, for instance
5] what's your favorite hobby? decorate with music theme,
horses, skiing, gymnastics [ black silhouettes of you in routine ], etc.

Hi,
Try the light blue and sea green vertical stripes.
It is soothing to the eyes and at the same time very beautiful.
Its not too sober or not too radiant, I think you will like it.
Goodluck.

try going to sherwinwilliams.com and pick a room and click and drag different colors to the wall and trim. try a purple wall and a yellow/ peagreen trim and a seablue ceiling, have fun with it and write the colors down so Mom can see what you did.
