As Greg said, it is possible. There are several ways of doing it and it will work fine if you do it right, but to do so is highly illegal unless you are either licensed to do so or unless you pay the BATF the money to do so legally. There are places all over the internet where you can buy books on this subject, but keep in mind they are for INFORMATIONAL purposes ONLY.

Happy hunting!

Like dylan said, you need to be a licensed manufacturer. Plus, you will need some full auto parts, that your gun didn't include. Lastly, you wil need to know where to place a third hole, more accurately than you can do by hand with a cordless drill.

It can be done, but it is not cost effective, and if not done legally, you can get in trouble fast. I have shot legal automatics, and it is a novelty. Anything other than automatic 22lr firearms, can get very expensive to shoot. Learn to like semi auto, its a lot less hassle.

Unless you are a licensed NFA manufacturer you cannot. An automatic weapon had to have been made and registered before May 1986 to be legal to own for most people. You could attempt to modify a semi-automatic one to fully-automatic and face 10 years and/or $10,000 or you could spend that same $10,000 and buy one legally.

Actually, I usually find the problem as being the other direction - I rarely hear or see people refer to fully automatic weapons as "semi automatic", far more often it is the opposite, papers and media that I see refer to semi - automatic firearms simply as "automatic". Thinkingblade

Are you asking about converting a M-90 into an AK-47 or removing modifications to an AK-47 that turned it into a semi-automatic?

As RandyC already told you. The gun will come apart. AK-47's designed for semi-auto fire are manufactured out of lighter stampings that comprise the receiver. They will just come apart with any sustained automatic fire.
Even more important is the fact that it's a Federal offense (felony class crime) to convert any semi-automatic to fully automatic anyway. In addition you face additional felony possession of an automatic weapon charges. 30 years in a Federal prison should take that idea and make you think twice about it.

aside from being totally illegal, no, it will tear itself apart. You need the full auto parts. The fines and jail time are not worth playing with. If you're over 21, not a criminal, just pay the cost of a legal ak47, pay for the $200.00 tax stamp, go thru the background check and enjoy your fully legal, fully automatic rifle.

You would need a different receiver with a total of I believe 6 different parts that make it a full auto.

In that case, you might as well just buy a full auto AK-47.
