I am Christian, from India currently working in the USA (near Boston, MA). Although my background is Anglo Indian, there are lots of native Christians in India too (my present calculations put the figure as 22500000 approx. i.e. 22.5 million, though this large number is barely a fraction of the total population :-)
We have been spreading the good news of Jesus Christ: at least everyone should get to know who Jesus is, whether they eventually believe or not, and have met with little results. The southern half of India has Christians from the first century AD, when the Apostle Thomas was supposed to have visited our shores. In the northern half, Christianity has a much smaller following and unfortunately, most of the youth are leaving the Church in large numbers. I happen to belong to one of the oldest church in North India, St. John’s Church (St. John the Baptist Church – almost 200 years old former Anglican and now CNI Church).
Why do you wish to meet more Indian Christians (I happen to know a lot due to some of the evangelical work the Lord has helped me do)?
