Should non believers respond in a suitable forum such as YA R & S or be intimidated by fanatics who tell us we have no right to be here.

Religious organisations are big business today, and they need a lot of money to keep the business going. In this respect, individuals within these groups try to manipulate and coerce people by using mind manipulating techniques to instill fear and guilt. They usually target people who are at a low point in their lives. They offer them the 'truth' and all the answers to life's problems. However, before they realise what's going on, they are giving ten per cent - and in some cases even thirty per cent - of their incomes to keep the 'business' going. They are now trapped and unsure about what to do, so they suffer on, not sure of how to get out of the situation they now find themselves in; Such unfortunates put their faith in these mortal religious leaders.
Regarding the second part of your question, I have come to the understanding that all individuals have a right to express their opinions, even if I as a Christian do not share the views of non-believers. I have learned things from non-believers as I have learned things from my fellow Christians. This is a great forum for learning, sharing and understanding where other people are coming from. Sorry for rambling on, but the first part of your question hit a cord with me.

PS. I sent you an e-mail and graciously accepted your apology.

first off this is Y/A and this is not a section designed for or capable of giving important and serious advice like the health section or the martial arts section or any of the "professions" sections.

This section is more for entertainment than anything else partly because no one is going to change thier beliefs and anyone really looking for any kind of "spiritual" guidance or answers are not going to find it here, they will find it from a priest, rabbi, imam or pirate.

thus this section's questions, even the serious ones are more of a novelty along the lines of the entertainment or football section rather than a use type of forum. However, as this is yahoo answers, one cannot really take a bunch of answers from people who can just lie about thier qualifications and often do seriously.

financial establishments, firms ought to bypass. those are unstoppable, unaccountable forces of impact that trump ANY resistance. The third international exists due those a lot of monopolizing capital reaping the earnings of organic aspects at a similar time as the natives waste in slavery. each and every thing else can stability out if their impact ought to be contained. non secular establishments, government, medical industry, practise, and so on all answer to helping company shareholders.

I think that this is one of my biggest objections to organised religions. People are still making and influencing decisions which have an effect on our lives based on some ideas written down 2000 years ago or more by men who were seeking power. We have no way of knowing if their sources were reliable or what their motivation was for writing what they did.

The question is who are they to feel that they get an exclusive right to communicate about their opinions on religion and spirituality, just because they believe certain things? All their answers and questions are inherently biased anyway.

Yes. Read the Dover School Board [Kitzmiller] decision for a classic example. (It is on the web and can easily be found with Google.)

Yes they do, which is the main reason that I, as an atheist, come to places like this - to try to see what's happening with religions and to put my point of view over.
