There is a definition of "angels" that means a divine created being>>>>and there is the looser definition of an "angel" that means a guardian spirit (possibly ancestral.)----Blessings!

Well, you would fit in just fine with the ancient model of Christianity. They did not identify angels with ancestors, but they certainly ascribed the same functions to each.
Personally, however, I maintain that "angel" is a generic term for anything that facilitates the will of God on earth. That could be a human being (such as John the Baptist, described as an "angel" in the New Testment), inanimate objects (such as the breeze that stirred the water of the pool in Jerusalem), or abstract principles (such as the four seraphim who revolve around the throne of God in the book of Revelation).

Not even on the same page.Angels are spirit creatures God created before humans ever existed. When your ancestors died, theyre souls/spirits went with them. The bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:5 "The living are concious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are concious of nothing at all.".
Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 says"As for the dead,...their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be under the sun." So they cannot help us nor harm us

It depends on what you define as truth....to me, things without evidence are not truth or not false at the same time. However it is unreasonable for anyone to believe in things that there is no evidence for, i'll always believe in anything, no matter how wild and ridiculous, as long as there is evidence for it. The wilder and more ridiculous something is, however, the firmer and more solid the evidence will have to be...
So, since you don't have evidence for their existence, therefore you are very far from the truth about angels.

Angels are spiritual creatures who glorify God without ceasing and who serve his saving plans for other creatures: "The angels work together for the benefit of us all" (St. Thomas Aquinas, STh I, 114, 3, ad 3). The existence of the spiritual, non-corporeal beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls "angels" is a truth of faith. The witness of Scripture is as clear as the unanimity of Tradition. St. Augustine says: "'Angel' is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is 'spirit'; if you seek the name of their office, it is 'angel': from what they are, 'spirit', from what they do, 'angel.' " With their whole beings the angels are servants and messengers of God. Because they "always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven" they are the "mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word". As purely spiritual creatures angels have intelligence and will: they are personal and immortal creatures, surpassing in perfection all visible creatures, as the splendor of their glory bears witness.
Christ is the center of the angelic world. They are his angels: "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him." They belong to him because they were created through and for him: "for in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities - all things were created through him and for him." They belong to him still more because he has made them messengers of his saving plan: "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?"

you may want to consider this passage:
"For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."
II Corinthians 11:13-15
or this one:
"For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment..."
II Peter 2:4
or this one:
"And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him."
Revelation 12:7-9
