i feel like i have done a little too much as to chasing this guy. I have seen him out and about for the past couple years and he always tried talking to me but i blew him off,i saw him out recently and now that i am over my x i was into him,so i found him on myspace and sent him a message asking him to get together sometime,he replied right away with yes,and then continued to ask which salon i work at.i replied with,"why?you need a haircut?"and he recieved the message and no reply. do guys not like a girl making the first move?should i forget him?

some guy prefer to make the first move and others like to lay low, depends on the guy. Every guy is different. But some guys like to make the first move maybe so they can tell their friends they nailed a girl. But in some cases if the girl makes the first move then the guy may feel that he is weaker then the girl cause he didn't try first. Some guys like to be chased for attention like some girls do.
but no, before you do anything rational, you should talk to him if it was ok that you made the first move, but make it so you don't seem in control of the relationship,

Strange bed fellows- go after it until you get what you set out for - its not a fling if its been going on for so long - the playful replies as text messages are fun - don't forget the initial message..wil you go out with me?..yes was the reply..the rest is when you get together laugh at each others strange text life. Go for it! Good luck!

U don't know this guys situation. Things have changed. People move on. Be patient. Remember your the one who blew him off. Dont expect him to just come back running to you. Just work him a lil more. Learn more about whats going on with him. Then make your move. If your still interested that is.

I think he finds you unstable now ... you turned him down first, then sent him a message asking him out, then told him " why do you want to know where I work " ... Usually normal people don't alternate that way .... if you asked him out, why are you so afraid of telling him where you work !?

Guys do like girls to chase them just because it feeds their ego. But, when a guy really likes a girl and is serious, he will do the chasing. Let him do a little exercise chasing you.

He didn't like your snide remark, he thought you were turning him down or making fun of him in a way. tell him what you really meant.
