I just listened to some dude speak about giving for a special event. So he talks about listening to Gods voice, and instructs on how God might tell people in the church what to give.

He explains that people may need to budget more effiently to give the right amount that God tells you!

Then he uses all the usuall verses in the bible that talk about stewardship etc. (aint it funny that everyone on earth has heard a sermon on giving)

Finaly he closed up after 25 minutes and briefly says they dont want to be manipulative, God loves a cheerfull giver (the most unused verse - most prefer to mention the tithe) etc etc

Practice ehat you preach. Surely its more spirtual for a pastor to trust that God will tell people to give, rather than have the pastor hypmotise people into believing that god will tell them to give a certain amount.

churchs are brainwashing instituitions just ask the inmates of indian residential schools of Canada.

God to some is Abaddon, who really is Satan of the Abyss called Hell. and you all must obey HIM even though they tell me the roman empire fell. So that voice you here is an italian don called the BOSS or one of his lackeys. lackeys are idoits who don't come from the old country and thus can never be made. So church is for lackeys. Go to lackey school and learn to be slaves. It's like russia did italy a favour in defeating germany. my lose so you laff while i mock your alledged freedom. and giving to a church is more crap unless you really know the money goes to the poor or needy, which is okay, but if it goes to abaddon who already owns trillions its just a waste of money into the pockets of the rich or reich(in german) wonder if like Jesus the churchs will want me murdered for speaking out like He did.

when will the government declare an internaltion skip-church day in order to protest the swelling church accounts?

Churches are not being manipulative, they are telling people to trust what God points them towards doing. Sometimes that will be something that a person does not think they can do but with a little work with the budget they can if they eliminate what they do not need. The gift is supposed to be a sacrifice, that is what makes it meaningfull, but some people need encouragement.

That isn't exploitation. You can't believe that sort of thing unless you decide to. Exploitation is when you put people in a position where they can't resist. Auto insurance, for example, medical bills, gas prices, that is all exploitation. But if you just walk up and say, "The Great Krooton says to give me money," that is not exploitation.

I COMMEND YOU. I am a Christian, a devout Christian. I am non-denominational.
Lets think about this for a moment.
If all you hear for thirty minutes or an hour is some preacher discussing how much you should be giving to the Church, guess what that preacher has on his mind? YOUR MONEY.
If a Church is a true Church of God, and if that Church teaches Gods Word instead of mans words, then God himself WILL SEE TO THE SURVIVAL OF THAT MINISTRY.
period. This is what separates the true Churches from those who are after your money. I watch some of them on tv on Sunday mornings just to get an idea of where the mindset is Christian-wise.
What i see are a bunch of money-hungry hypocrites that have the NERVE to suggest that an elderly person who is on social security send ten percent of it to their congregation for prayers to be answered and for the blessings of God.
I've got new for anyone interested: God does not want you to send your electric bill money to a Church. If you do, you will end up needing to get help from someone else because your electric has been shut off.
When your electric gets shut off, just try contacting that tv ministry and see how fast they send you the money to pay your electric bill. They won't, friend. I see them telling people if they don't have the money today, no problem, just PLEDGE IT TO US.
You cannot promise ten percent of something you do not have. God does not expect you to go without shelter, food, etc.
CHRIST DID NOT EVER SEND OUT BEGGARS. In fact, the apostles were told not to ever even take a money bag along with them.
Those Churches prey on the elderly on social security because they are up in age and know they will meet God soon, and they want to do the right thing. Those Pastors know that, so they will squeeze every cent they can out of them by making them feel as if God will not bless them unless they tithe to their "church". NONSENSE.
You know what God says about it? He says that YOU CAN TITHE EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE TO A CHURCH LIKE THAT AND NEVER RECEIVE ONE BLESSING OF GOD. Why would God bless you for supporting such a beggar ministry? If they were of God, God would see to their ministry continuing. They would not have to beg.
Please forgive me, but this is a subject that really ticks me off. I see them offering a hanky for money that is supposedly blessed and will bring you prosperity. I see them selling little slivers of wood that they say came from the Cross of Jesus Christ.
LETS RECAP:

1. God does not expect you to give ten percent of what you do not have to give.
2. A ministry who only asks for money with telethons, etc. has one thing on their mind, and its not your salvation: its your WALLET.
3. A Church that is doing the true work of God and teaching Gods Word, will survive without begging because God will see to its
survival.
4. Christ was specific in that he does not send out beggars.
5. If you are able to give, you should give to the Church where you are fed the Word of God, not mans words.
6. If the sheep are fed, they will return and they will see to it that the spiritual food keeps coming: the congregation will give without being asked if they are being fed.
7. If you tithe to a church of beggars do not expect the blessings of God; in fact, do not even expect that God is in the building.
He calls those Churches a "beth Aven"; that means "House of nothing".
If you support a house of nothing, you will get nothing as far as the blessings of God for your effort.
8. If you are on a fixed income or elderly on a social security income, PAY YOUR BILLS. If you find a month where you have a bit extra and wish to give a love offering, that will be more accepted of God than if you gave money each month and then had to beg family members and friends for money to pay your bills. God wants you to use that brain he gave you. All things in common sense. God will bless that.

Jesus did warn us that there would be wolves in sheep's clothing and that the enemy would plant non-productive weeds among the seeds which grow up to help people.

God will deal with them either now or when He judges all.
