I'm 16 and for the past few weeks my knees, wrists, ankles, and practically every joint in my body have been hurting. I had this pain before, which caused me to stop excercising because of the pain. Then the pain went away. So a few months later, I've started exercising again...and guess what....the pain is back. Any ideas why my joints could be hurting when I start excersing regularly? Any help is appricitated. Thanks.

you could have Fibromyalgia or arthritis. You need to be checked out by a medical doctor to find out what exactly is wrong with you.

For now the best exercise you can do is swimming because it doesn't place any stress on your joints.

It sounds as if you may need some advice about how to exercise. Here is a great site on fitness and exercise tips. http://www.healthline.com/blogs/exercise_fitness/. Is the pain caused from weight lifting? If so, you need to start out light and slowly build up. Also, ask the gym staff to check out your form or buy a book that explains the best way to do each exercise. Then pay close attention to body mechanics. If you are talking about aerobic exercise, start with low impact, like bicycle, swimming and build up. Slow and steady gets you further faster. Remember the turtle. Ice that pain to recover quickly.
