Jesus Christ there are alot of people in the world with bad *** attitudes!!
I would have to say that pets do have some senses that we humans don't. Have you read the article about the cat who senses death?
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/07/25/death.cat.ap/index.html
Of course they may be a good explanation for this, but there may NOT be as well!
I had a german sheperd a long time ago who used to roam all over our house except for one room, he would stand at the door and whimper with his tails between his legs if one of us would go in it. I don't know what he sensed, but I know it wasn't good.
I also had a Chow who used to ADORE my sister, she would always hang out in the backyard with him. Unfortunately she passed away at a very early age; not long after our Chow would start acting extremely strange, he would run around the yard almost as if someone was calling to him, he never barked at whatever it was, he was more in a playful mood. Now of course cynics will tell you that we were just grief strciken and just like to think that my sister was out there playing with him, but I truly in my heart believe that she was out there, he knew it, we just weren't fortunate enough to see it.
So of course everyone's entitled to their opinion, mine just happens to be that animals have these cool senses. :)

Which do you think is more likely: the dog sees something supernatural like a spirit, or the dog senses something that's real, like a prowler, a gas leak, raccoons in the basement, leftover food on the table, weird waterpipe noises or TOILET LEAKS, kids outside, a speeder going by in a car, or the dog has a stomach ache?
Why do you think of the most UNLIKELY, UNVERIFIABLE thing? Do you think that by asking the dog 200 questions, you'll figure out which spirit is haunting the house, and what its name is?

Google Oscar the cat...it's a cat at a nursing home that has hit accurately predicting 25 in row of patients ready to die...so, yes, I'd say animals have different or heightened senses. I also think we all have "psychic" abilities...we only use a small portion of our brains.

I believe dogs can sense things people can't. When I leave, no matter what time it is...it seems like my dog knows when I'm coming back because she is always at the gate when I pull up. And I know its not because she has been waiting there the whole time I'm gone. I've seen her do this with my man too.

Yes they can, and if someone very close to your Nan comes to visit her, maybe a loved one. The dog would see them, and not understand why your Nan cant.

She looks like a scam artist yet a minimum of animals be conscious of they're animals in assessment to dumb human beings, who want to think of they too are animals. This declare that we are "merely animals", is maximum probable for 2 motives; #a million people who have self belief this, actually have a murdering blood lust, and use animal "abuse" circumstances, as a politically maximum suitable excuse to permit this bloodthirsty lust out in the open, in a manner their acquaintances and friends who experience a similar way, will settle for or maybe admire. of direction some might desire to rant and scream they "do not think of like this". yet once you visit any weblog approximately Michael Vick or the different guy or woman accused (even in circumstances the place no trial has occurred yet) of animal abuse (genuine or sometimes imagined), you will see how finished of demands "torture them slowly to loss of existence" and different responses asserting; "and torture their mothers and fathers and acquaintances besides; all and sundry who via any means ever supported this sort of guy or woman", not helping the abuse, yet despite in the event that they have been that persons acquaintances, in any respect. #2 they have an excuse to do something they want sexually or violating any ethics or morals (such because of the fact the cruelty of abortions the place the toddler after 40 days of gestation, feels discomfort like an animal. yet why ought to they care? it extremely is basically a "fetus" and not "substantial" like an animal is, they declare).

Yes, dogs and many other animals sense many things that we do not. Earthquakes, storms, etc. So to, probably spirits or at least things that are abnormal.

Nan probably laid a big Metamucil laced dump right before bedtime and poor Rover can still smell it. Probably is trying to tell Nan to flush the damn toilet before he claws the inside of his nose out.
