How are you defining a "sign"?
There's that old joke about the guy who slipped and started to fall off a cliff. He grabbed onto a root that was sticking out of the rock and prayed to God for help.
Some hikers came by and offered to throw him a rope, but he said God would save him. A helicopter flew overhead and signaled to him, but he shook his head and shouted that God would save him. A mountain goat came nimbly climbing up next to him, pausing and kneeling as if to offer the fellow a ride, and he shooed it away.
Eventually the root gave way and the man fell to his death. When he got to heaven, he asked God why He didn't save him, and God said, "I sent you rescuers! I sent you hikers and a helicopter and even a mountain goat, but you ignored them all."
All this to say, you may very well have already received numerous signs, but you aren't recognizing them as signs.
How do you expect to "hear" from God? Maybe it would be not a voice, but words on your computer screen telling you to stop waiting and start DOing. Start going to church again. Start reading your Bible again. Start praying for other people. Start serving other people who are less fortunate than yourself (in a soup kitchen or homeless shelter, for example.)
You might just find out that you will find Jesus when you are looking for Him in other people.

No, he doesn't like you. He loves you. You are dealing with God. Like it or not, and we usually don't like it. God is going to do things his way. To us he may have a strange way of showing his love. Like apparently completely ignoring you.
You were told that God or Jesus would make themselves known to you. Has anyone actually quoted the verse that says this is actually the case. What is the basis for that assertion? (There are in fact verses to support it)
Why won't he give you a sign you can't ignore? The sign has been given. It's the same sign that we all have. Even if you did have a sign how would you know that it is really from God and not a trick of your mind? One chap, who lived long before Christ, called Gideon wanted to know if God really had spoken to him, so he asked God for a sign. He asked that the ground would be dry, and that dew would be found on a fleece. When he woke in the morning it was so. Gideon wasn't quite satisfied, so he asked if the fleece could be dry and dew all around. God obliged because he had work for Gideon to do.
The presence of God brings awareness of sin. Sin is not just evil. Sin is not getting it right. Apparently sinning is an archery term for missing the mark. It is more important that you get the sin question dealt with than you are given a sign
Well the sin question he has dealt with, the sign he has given. I am not expressing it here, because it is better that you go to Church and find out, meet and talk to people face to face.

I have felt the same way on many occassions.
But i noticed a few things, God does speak, in many different ways. Sometimes, there is still small voice, which urges you do something right, some call it the conscience.
Sometimes, you read a certain verse in the scripture, and it is suddenly true in your life, as if God is speaking to you through it.
Sometimes, God speaks through other people in your life.
And I felt his presence so strongly as a child, as compared to now. I wonder why...
Edit: I didn't understand many parts of the Bible either. The New International Version (Study Bible) is the good place to start with, if you are interested.

Just have the patience to wait....always think that when it seems that God does not listen, hey, He's only giving you the test because He wants you to learn to wait. He has his own plan for you and He loves you.
Today you still have the gift of life, be thankful. While we still have the life, we still have the chance to learn more about Him, to be in deeper relationship with Him, to enjoy His blessings.
Maybe you keep on calling upon Him, but it's you who don't listen to Him. He even wants you to read the bible but you don't want to. You said you don't understand it but if you truly want to know God, you would do anything to understand His words. Be open minded. Reading the bible will let you understand who God really is and what He really wants for you. Ask God for you to understand everything. In Jesus' name, talk to Him. God bless, ill pray for you

it's not a religion, it's a relationship. let's start with this: Jesus, God, and the Holy Spirit are The Trinity, three in one. i know a sign that they made just for you. look in a mirror. you are a living example of God's power. you were made in His image. step outside. look around you. watch the sun come up. He made all thesr things so that you might believe in Him. realize that if the earth moved an inch, we'd all die instantly. the perfect placement is no accident. and if you prayed, God answered. He may have just said no. There's another way I know of that you can be sure that He is there. Believe. invite Him into your heart and life, and submit everything you are to Him and He will change you. We are often so busy talking and praying to Him that we don't ever stop and listen to what He's trying to answer. So stop. Be still, and know that He is God.

A sign can be anything. Sometimes, God shows his love to you through the people around you or experiences you have. You shouldn't be expecting a fiery, un-burning bush, but look for the actions of others. Maybe you should try going to church again or reading the Bible to try to see what God wants.

God will not always grant what you ask for. If you test him by asking for a sign he will not show it. Pray and go to church is my best advice. Read the Bible and eventually you will feel more spiritual.
If you can't understand the Bible then get a different translation. Try the New Living version. It makes it much easier to read.

The Christian religions are highly based upon faith, meaning that you believe in God and Jesus even though you have no proof of their existence. Some people say that there are signs of their existence everywhere; I think that is mostly a question of perception.
At the end of the day you must decide if your beliefs and faith are strong enough for you to "dismiss" the fact that no proof exists of the existence of God and / or Jesus.

Sometimes God answers us in ways we least expect. For example, maybe something that you thought was going to go wrong went good today. If we count all of our little blessings we truly see that God is here for us. Do you have your health, friends, family, shelter, clothes, food, etc.? Those are all ways of God taking care of you! God tells us he will never leave us or forsake us and he is always with us, looking and listening. He know exactly how many hairs are on your head and what you are going to say before you say it. He loves you more than anything and gave up his only son so that you could be with him for eternity. Finding God is not like finding a lost earring or something to that nature. Do you think one of your prayers is being answered right now? I think so. There is nothing you could do to separate yourself from the love of God! You are truly blessed. OK to put it simply this happens to everyone, there is no way that god and Jesus can't like you, first of all don't feel silly. Chances are that they help you in unseen ways you should read this story: footprints. Its only about a page long. Chances are that you will be helped in the future or in th afterlife. Or that maybe you are happy enough as it is
