Well what a sweet guy, boy i wish i was married to you lol,
your wife is very lucky, maybe she would like a nice romantic dinner in a hotel where you both have been before and both loved, candles and flowers brought by the waiter with a card, cause its your paper anniversary, and a glass of champagne to toast the happy day. good luck...x....

As the first anniversary is paper,if you want to be traditional try dinner, flowers and tickets to a play or concert. Another paper idea is art, my wife and I gave each other a painting by one of our favourite artist for our anniversary. We took a week long trip to visit the gallery, stayed in a 5* hotel, rode around the whole week in limo's, met the artist and bought an original oil which the artist dedicated to us with an additional drawing on the back and our initials in a heart. As art collectors it made a special anniversary for us.

the most special thing i think that i would like as a woman, would be, a wonderful dinner cooked by my guy. then flowers everywhere... then the rest is left to what you decide :)
more things i would enjoy would be something handwritten of how much i meant to the guy. a nice personalized something, maybe a mica picture frame, with the date we met, or a special event or happening with a picture we have taken together.... jewelry is nice. hmmm. and also a wonderful special hug and kiss. and i think that all of it should be wrapped in her favorite color ribbon. lol. good luck to you and your wonderful angel. everything between you sounds sweet and heavenly and i wish you both the best!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! You are STILL on your honeymoon!!!! I hope you're on your honeymoon the rest of your lives - and beyond!!!!

My grandparents were married over 55 years. They were on their honeymoon every day until the very end. To this day, I BELIEVE & THINK they are on their honeymoon - in a much better place.

EVERY DAY: Tell each other "I love you. You are my love, my soul mate and my world. I not only love you, I like you and I adore you!

Without a doubt - you are THE MOST important person in my life!"

Another tip: NEVER, EVER go to bed angry - or mad - at or with each other.

Paper is the 1st wedding anniversary symbol.
Look into getting an oragami [the Japanese art of paper folding] heart OR how about the two of you going to a Japanese shop specializing in oragami? Perhaps there is a class you could take together to make your paper hearts for each other?
OR if you want to spend the day at home, go to your library and ask about books on oragami. Read them. Then get the necessary paper and other materials together.

The possibilities are many. This is your day and night to be with each other and there for each other.
IF either of you is a workaholic, put the work “on hold” for your “significant other“.

1] Unplug the phone AND turn off all those distracting gadgets. Put on some romantic music.
Light a few candles - even during the day.

1] Make breakfast for each other. It could be as simple as a bowl of cereal with a seasonal fruit - or no fruit at all. Feed each other.
B] It could be scrambled eggs, your favorite omelettes or breakfast food. It could be as elaborate as Eggs Benedict.

2] Flower petals of each other's favorite flower - laid in a path to that favorite place where you gaze into each other's eyes, hold hands, "whisper sweet nothins" in each other's ears and cuddle.

3] While you're walking to your favorite place, hold hands, walk arm-in-arm AND/OR go to the place where you met and/or proposed. Reminisce.

While you're walking, people will be looking and staring. They WILL be very envious and jealous of you. I KNOW if I was one of the spectators, I KNOW I would be jealous of you and happy for you and I would admire you! (((Personally, I love to see folks holding hands, laughing and kissing in public.))) In fact if I was one of those folks, I would probably say something like, "THAT'S what I like to see!!!"
When I say that, many folks turn in my direction, smile, nod, then continue going about their business of being happy with each other.

It doesn't have to be an elaborate or an expensive day. It MUST considered as "Our Day". Take pictures of each other. Ask a total stranger to take a picture of you - together. Do this many times. Above all: Have fun with each other! Have fun for each other!

I AM very, very happy for you!

Our family slogan: "Every Good Wish to You and Yours!" I wish you nothing but the absolute best of what life has to offer!

I wish you well!

VTY,
Ron Berue

My husband bought me an eternity ring for our anniversary which I loved. You could also write her a love poem or even love letter telling her how you feel. Also tickets for her favourite show, cinema film etc as they are made of paper. I think just being with you would make the day special whatever you do.Have a great day.

Kayaking on the Thames with a bottle of wine in a basket and she in a broad brimmed straw hat with a few small flowers on it and the world at your feet when you return should do very nicely.

firstly she could get you a dictionary. What does your wife like, does she like collecting certain ornaments etc. If you want to give her something paper then get her tickets for a show up the west end or something.

it is a paper anniversary. take her on your first date again, do all the same things you did, same resturant (if you went for a meal) same cinema (if you did this) etc you get my drift. she'll appreicate it more than a gift, unless you wanna get her a lovely gift as a suprize too most women like this. jewellery is your best bet, expensive too.
if you see my husband tell him i want this for our paper next year. lol
