Not every religion makes that claim - in fact, many do not. And even among religions that traditionally make that claim, many adherants do not believe it. And of course religions are man-made. Religion is a human response, even by theistic definitions.

It's not.
Let's assume, for the moment, that you're statement is true. EVERY religion claims to be the "right" way to God. This is obviously a ludicrous statement, because some Religions do not make such a claim. But, even if it were true - how does THAT take away from God's true religion?
Take this scenario. Five children are playing in a vacant lot, and four of them decide it would be fun to throw rocks at a neighboring house. When the children are asked later who threw the rocks, and all five proclaim innocence - does that make all five liars?
Obviously it doesn't. One child is telling the truth. Simply because the other four are not does not make the one child a liar.
Therefore, your question fails the logic test. It is patently a false assumption that because "EVERY" religion claims to be the "right" way, none of them can be.

Not all religions claim that. Many of the Neo-Pagan faiths believe that the Divine speaks to each person/culture in the form best suited to that person/culture; therefore, there are many roads to the mountain and many paths to God.
But yes, all religions -- including Christianity -- are manmade. They are attempts to connect with the Divine (whether or not the Divine even exists is a whole other question), and are usually heavily influenced by what is important to the person or the culture in question.

God in any form is meant to be a representation of everything that is good, in it's purest form. Therefore, by following the commands of god (any god) you are doing good. This way, those who created the idea of a god have the perfect way of justifying their own evil actions or manipulating people under them to perform evil in the belief that they are doing good. Of course, each religion doesn't want people following other religions, hence the competitiveness and the need for each to do their best to convince people that their way is the one true way, when in actuality all of them are wrong. Personally I think the fact that we exist as a race is proof that god is man made; we are arrogant, greedy, violent and, geologically speaking, very young- therefore primitive. Live your life according to what you know to be right and wrong, and if there is a god you'll be fine.

Don't blame the religions. It is like going to get petrol for your motor transport.
You go to the petrol station and you choose the octane etc that is right for your vehicle.
Religion works the same way. One God many ways to worship.
The problem come from us being human. It is part of the human condition that we all think that we are right all the time.
Ergo , our branch of faith must be the only one....

not every religion makes that claim. many pagan religions encourage each individual to find his own path, and accept that all forms of spirituality or lack thereof are valid.
really, that claim is only coming from one religion... abrahamic monotheism. jews, christians, and muslims all worship the same god, but religious tolerance seems to be a problem only among certain groups of christians and muslims.

My faith claims no longer something of the type. each and each pagan worships or honors his or her gods in spite of the shown fact that he/she desires to. And no person is status there with a hand out for money till they seem to be a charlatan seeking to make a rapid greenback off a fluffy bunny.

Because, with so many competing claims, only one of them can possibly be true. And given that they're all alike, and nothing evidence-wise differentiates any two given religion in terms of truthfulness, it's quite likely that they're ALL untrue.
Also, note how god is so often portrayed as anthropomorphic (human-like), in that he hates the same sort of people that the majority of the time happened to hate, finds homosexuality disgusting just like the old pious men of the time probably did, and so on...
You'll scarcely find a religious person whose god doesn't agree with and reinforce the prejiduces that person already had.
What more proof that god is man-made does one need than that?

i agree ...why do we have all sorts of believers knocking on our doors acting like dodgy salesmen.......in America all sorts of cults running their own TV station and asking the public for a hundred dollars donation so they can spread the word !! come on ...it infuriates me when people hide behind religion using it as a screen for their own "shortfall's" and ime being polite !!some of the brain washing techniques are as barbaric now as they were when the tragic :holocaust...took place ....still vulnerable people being exploited ...!!and people have the cheek to say that spiritualism is an occult of the black arts .....harry potter here i come !!!!

There is only one way to God....There is only one belief in which eternal life is promised to the faithful....There is only one way to get there and the challenge is for you to find it. People may tell you how but only you can get there by seeking and recognising the truth when you have found it.
Best of luck with your quest.
Best wishes, Mike.
