i had a bad habit of popping pimples (please dont comment on that i stopped). so i got some... no alot of scabs now. it is embarrasing to go out with a bunch of scabs staring the world from my forehead. (im 13 and very self concious about my face) i want to know if there are any home remedies to maybe heal them faster bc i want them gone by the time i get my schedule at school (august 17th) i know they will heal on their own in that amount of time but if i can make them go faster that'd be great!. so i need simple home remedies to speed up the amount of time it takes for the scab to fall off naturally. i do not have neosporin but what i think is a generic by target please help

Don't feel bad-- I pick them too. Picking at acne usually makes it worse. However, to clean up the mess you make by picking, I've found that Retinol 1% works the best. You can find it on-line or at a pharmacy. A little pricey, but it does work.

clean affected area and use a good toner (I use Murad) with witch hazel. You can also use 50% witch hazel to 50% water. Apply the retinol sparingly. I do this AM and PM. Possibly should start with only one application of retinol a day until you know how you're skin will tolerate it. Retinol is very strong!

Also, remember that what may work for someone else great, may not work for you. It's a process of trial and error we all go through to find what works best for each of us. However, getting feedback is a great place to start. Good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Well,i am an expert at getting rid of that, but i have a bad habit of not wanting 2!!!
lol,anywayz,this will do the trick!!

1st: Clean your face with a normal Baby wipe,(this will open your pores!)

2nd: Use a product called Apricot Scrub, but buy the cheap one.

3rd: Use another product called Oxypads, they are acne wipes.

4th: Apply Vitamin E cream to your face.

Do this for a few days or how ever long you like and you will have clear skin!

Also If you have a painful red pimple or blemish, Put an ice cube on it, this will reduce redness and swelling!

Good Luck!

The generic anti-biotic cream/ointment from Target will help. Just dab a tiny bit on the scabs before going to bed.

Aloe vera gel will help during the day.

I also recommend Desert Essence's Blemish Stick. It's available @ Trader Joe's & Whole Foods.

Hi,
I am a dermatologist by profession and within a careeer of 10 years I have seen lots of acne problems. According to me Red and white pimples are the worst and painful. Acneprone skin is very sensitive, even if you touch it once the redness will increase with itching. According to me there is no magical way to heal your pimples over night as this is the puffed part of your skin due to the bacteria.

In simple words try to improve your diet and have lots of water that helps in healingg process. Un-necessary oily food should be avoided to get a healthy spotless skin.

I have an experience I’d like to share that will hopefully help others in a similar position as myself. As someone who’s suffered from acne problems, I’m always on the lookout for new products to help tame breakouts.I have suffered from acne for at least 17 years and was on more medications and creams that I can remember. I have stumbled across the information on this site ( http://bit.ly/Remove-Acne-Fast ) when I started to feel like I was losing it for good. I decided it was time to take action and I did. It has helped me tremendously. After less than a month of following the advice on that site most of my acne was gone.
