I'm getting a tattoo of a fleur de lis [symbol of my hometown and city of my soul, New Orleans] I want to be able to hide it on formal occasions, but be able to show it off on the beach, by the pool or partying with friends. Any suggestions?

just remember as you get older skin saggs so alway place a tat in an area that does not, such as an ankel. bellies, bottoms., and chest areas avoid them

Tsk tsk, everyone keeps saying places on your front. I'd suggest on your back. The lower part, with the little dimples, would be the best place. I've been talking to my tattoo artist and since I'm so young, he said it's the best place to put one, for job requirements, formal wears, beaches. You can hide it when you need to, and show it off when you want to.

Try placing it on your lower stomach. You may want to do two for the sake of symmetry. You could always do it on the back of your neck and let your hair cover it when need be...

The section right below your belly button is perfect. I thought of getting a small one below my hip bone diagonally below my belly button, too.
