That is just an evil idea. Think of how many children are born ill every day, they haven't even live enough to be "sinful". Some of the most wonderful people have suffered from ill health and some of the less wonderful people have had good health. I do not think that a person's health has any bearing on whether they are sinful or not. This is a typical crackpot religious idea!

There are examples in the bible and my interpretation is no...not because we live sinful lives...but through the fall of man in the beginning when sin came into the world.
One story in Luke tells us about a woman who was bound by a spirit of infirmity..this doesn't mean she was demon possessed or living a sinful life--it means the illness/infirmity was the result of sin coming into the world in the garden of Eden. It's not saying the woman deserved to be ill....I think frogs legs has given an easy to understand answer...
However it is taught and believed in some churches that if a person is ill this means they are not living their life right and according to God's will---which i absolutely disagree with, and would say it's a lie from the deceiver....

Depends on what is meant. The Catholic Faith teaches that in the grand scheme of things, yes, sickness is a result of Adam's sin. This is actually a mercy; a penance offered to us, if you will.

On an individual basis, sickness is usually caused by some foreign entity entering the body; a virus, a poison, an evil spirit, et al. While we don't know for sure, I'd say that only in rare cases is this directly related to the sin of an individual. The only way to test this (I suppose) would be to find someone who managed to stop sinning. Not an easy task.

No way. I caught a cold when I dived into freezing water to save a life. Wait... Maybe that child was evil and possessed, therefore I sinned.

Sorry about my sarcasm, I'm not in the best mood with the Christian religion. This is because of some recent news, and also my wanderings through the Bible have left me disturbed.

Most Christians are pretty decent though, hence the reason for my apology.

I dont believe that's totally correct.
technically sin started in humans the day Adam and Eve took from the forbidden fruit.
our lives have been shortened with illness and old age since that sinful event so that is a very interesting question depending how you really interpret it

In religion, illness is caused by sin where it is defined as an inability to take care oneself against weaknesses. Anything that impairs the body which generally based on our senses . eg eating.

It's caused by all sorts of things. In the bible, sin entered the world when Adam sinned, as did death, so I guess illness did to. But it could just be that you ate some raw sushi!

I don't know exactly. Some say that illness like depression is a generational curse rooted by a sin. But like a cold? I don't think so.

When Jesus was walking along, they came across a man born blind.

The disciples asked whose sin caused this, his own, or his parents.

Jesus said No. But that God might be glorified, and He turned around and healed the blind man.

Some illnesses are directly related to sin, such as STDs, but those are rather obvious.

Others, such as FAS are directly caused by their parent's sin of alcoholism.

But unless there is a direct link, then I must say "no" to your question.

There is, however, the one caviat, that our DNA is damaged. We do not have perfect bodies like Adam and Eve had, so we ARE susceptible to sickness merely because we are descendended from our original parents who sinned in the first place. If they had never sinned, there would be no sickness.

In Christianity it is not. Well, I guess it is caused by Original sin by Adam and Eve. After they sinned, God put a curse on the earth and we suffer from bad things all the time. We will only experience paradise again in heaven.
