I am 13 years old, 5'3 and 123 pounds. I have lost 20 pounds in 2 months and I am pretty proud of myself. I still would like to lose eight more pounds by September but I am going on vacation on August 7th and I don't want my bad eating habbits to come back to me. How can I not gain any weight while I'm there, but still enjoy myself?

Congratulations on losing the 20 pounds! You can go on vacation, enjoy yourself, and still not gain weight. Just be aware of what you are eating. Allow yourself to indulge a little bit, but keep the portions small. Most important is to be very active. Walk a lot or play games with friends or family like basketball or badminton, etc. Have fun!

Vacationing can be difficult, and it will require some strong will power, but at the same time you are young, a healthy weight and should enjoy your vacation. That bieng said, who wants to go on vacation and feel stuffed and full the entire time? The best way is to plan ahead. Where are you going? If you are camping, plan what you are going to eat, even write it down, and buy only those foods. If you are going somewhere where it is all-inclusive, there willl be many food choices and ensure you pick healthy ones as you would at home. Tell yourself you're going to treat yourself maybe 3 times on the trip and plan for those days where you take a dessert or something of the sort. That way you are feeling healthy but not deprieved.

How long are you vacationing for? If you do gain some weight, itll drop easily if you go back to eating very healthy. Also, you can still exercise on vacation! I do, and I love it. I usually get up early and go for an hour run in the mornings since running is the simpliest and easiest exercise to do. You can also swim (if there isa pool or ocean where you are going).

Also, watch your drinks! The most calories and fat (from sugar) people consume on vacation is from all the fruity and tropical drinks they have. Stick to water, and have the occassional drink.

If you have developed good eating habits, they will stick with you! Keep determined, and tell yourself you will make good choices. Remember, bieng on vacation isn't about the food but about where you are travelling and all the fun things to do there.

Congratulations! Good work. Vacations don't have to be bad for your diet. Make sure you have lots of fresh veggies on hand for snacking. Eat sugar- and fat-free yogurt in a cup rather than an ice cream cone. Order your popcorn plain, no butter and no caramel stuff. Eat only 1 piece of the bread from a burger or sandwich. Even McDonald's offers apple slices instead of fries nowadays.Try to get as much exercise as you can from walking, swimming, playing in the surf, etc. I have a feeling you're gonna do great!

First of all congratulations on losing 20 pounds.

I suggest doing some walking and sight seeing. I don't know where you are going but maybe do a little biking. If nothing else, ask you family to help watch your eating habits. Ask them to join you in eating healthy. If everybody is careful of what they eat, and they are not eating junk food if front of you, it should be easier. Don't concentrate on it too much, but just be conscious of it. Good Luck and have fun!!!

Eat but make sure you do a lot of activities, swim, snorkel, go to the beach, run alot, just be active. Everytime you eat something big, make it a point to do something very active: play ball, or just run on the beach or walk far (with someone if possible) and come back. If you do nothing and just eat, you are going to gain a lot of weight. Just be active: play games that you have to move around.

you can still make smart food choices while on vacation...and if you slip up, go for a run or do a few laps in the pool to make up for it! You have worked too hard to let your vacation be an excuse to mess it up... just remember, if you gain it all back you will have to start again from the beginning and that is NO fun! good luck and congrats on the weightloss!

Drink lots of water and dont drink soda or juice, this way you can eat more food b/c of the carlories u save by not drinking soda. Also try haveing a light snack high in fiber (ie. apple)10-15 minutes before you eat a meal b/c it takes time for your brain to register that your stomach is full and this snack will speed the process up so you feel full faster. And alway tell your self before your about to eat

"NO ONE LIKE A FAT PERSON I'M GOING TO EAT IN MODERATION SO I DONT BECAME A FAT PERSON"

They take up too much room, they smell, they breath to heavly, and they eat too much.

Good Luck
