Depends on the will of people, how far the distance is, and the oppertunities you both have to see eachother. Also TRUST is a big part of it.

Those are the greatest factors in dating over a long distance. If its something that you are going to end up closer soon then the problems won't be so bad...but if its far away then you might want to think about it long and hard.

I'm not sure what you want. Whether or not I approve is inconsequential. It is not really my concern. I approve of relationships in general and if you have chosen a long distance one, who am I to disapprove. If I knew you and the other person I might have an opinion but even then it wouldn't be proper for me to interfere.

What I can tell you is that the majority of long distant relationships fail. Absence may make the heart grow fonder but there is just as much validity in "Out of sight, out of mind". I tried it twice and it failed miserably both times. I accept full responsibility for the first failure and no responsibility for the second.

So, just looking at the odds I would say you are probably going to have problems. I hope not. I hope you prove to be the exception.

Good luck.

Well i am glad it is going great for you! That's wonderfull. It may get hard though. There will be many temptations from many guys and you may do them because your boyfriend "will never know" Or he may fall for them too. I think every person wants to be held and love by another. In a long distance relationship it is very hard to do that.

I wish you the best of luck in life and in this relationship!!

I do not think so. As long as you truly enjoy each one's company I do not see it as a problem at all. My mother has been in a wonderful relationship for the last ten years. Long distance also. It keeps it fresh and alive. It doesnt make them less han a couple, quite the contrary.

I was in an LDR for about 3 years. We've been married now for almost 10. It works out fine as long as you're both committed to each other and the relationship.

As far as problems, you'll be OK as long as you keep talking, e-mailing, texting--you know, keep communications open. Talk like you would if your SO was there with you.

Good luck--

As long as you understand the limits of this kind of relationship, than no, I don't think you'll have a problem.
But I don't think you need my approval either.
Good luck!

it's not approval that matters, it's the fact that most don't work out, but if yours is going great, then congrats! keep it up, and don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.

trust is usually a big issue in long distance relationships, but if you trust each other, and keep communicating, then you'll be fine.

If you trust each other then it will be great, things go great until one or the other does something stupid and loses the others trust, so keep it honest and loyal and you’ll be all right!! Good luck

I had one to. It worked out awesome.
It's mainly a trust issue, thats it.
And we kind of lost interest on what to talk about,
but I got to thinking, there is so much to talk about that its immpossible to start.
If you ever have that problem, just think theres over Trillions of things on this earth. To talk about.
I hope it works out, cus there tons of fun.
I'm in one now acctually =)
