A couple years back Bush was the commencement speaker at Calvin College, a Christian liberal arts school in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The fact that he was there ticked off a lot of students and professors. I had some friends who were graduating but instead of attending the ceremony they opted to attend the protest outside the building. I went with them, and we held up signs that said "Don't hijack our religion!"

He is not a true Christian, IMO. If he is, it is a label only, as it is apparent to me that he doesn't walk with God or have a personal relationship with him.
A true Christian wouldn't be so callous with human life, and I'm not only talking about in this never ending war. I'm also speaking on the fact that, as governor of Texas, more capital executions were carried out than under the governorship of any before him. True Christians believe it is God's place to judge, not ours.
He is a fraud that was simply out to garner the votes of the Christian population. He was and has continued to be nothing more than a master manipulator. It's hard to believe that he is able to still manipulate many into falling for the excuses as to why we still need to be over in the middle East, 6 years later, and why anyone still puts faith in someone who started a war to go get Bin Laden then suddenly relegated that agenda to the back burner.
And why does anyone still have faith in someone who said we had to go to war against Hussein because he had "weapons of mass destruction", which was found to be a lie altogether. Why does anyone still back someone who scapegoated a good man like Colin Powell for his blunder or outright lie?
I just can't believe his popularity poll is not in the negative ratings at this point. Thank God his term is ending.

"I believe that the war is based on the biblical grounds of stopping Genocide that Saddam Hussien was commiting when he killed 700,000 innocent Iraqis."
It's claims such as this that lead me to protest Bush all the more. Where did Saddam get much of the biological and chemical weaponry that he used against the Kurds (and the Iranians, for that matter)? Who kept sending him those weapons long after it was known he was using them this way? Who blocked a U.N. resolution condemning him for such actions? It was the U.S. under Reagan and Bush I. True, others were supplying him such weapons, but we went along for the ride because oil and blocking Iranian expansion was a higher priority for us than refusing to support a ruthless dictator. And in this, the Iraqi situation wasn't an anomaly, but business as usual, especially when there are business interests involved (such as Marcos in the Phillipines).

I have a hard time believing Bush is a true christian. Going to a church where most of the Christians are right wing, I'm still finding that the attenders are slowly realizing that Bush is a fake and he's helping to ruin the reputation of Christianity that much more - as if we needed that.
EDIT: Dylan - you can see that there are several Christians who don't believe that Bush is God's gift to us. Just read the answers on here. We're not lying to look cool. You got a thumbs down most likely because you stuck all Christians into one category because of the 700 club. That show is a joke and the guy who hosts it is a hypocrite. That's the very problem with Christianity. All the Christians with sense and wisdom - the Christians who don't speak hatred every 5 seconds but speak love as we were commanded are too quiet! We let morons like Pat Robertson speak for us and he doesn't say a thing we agree with. And then people like you, Dylan, lump us all into a stereotype because that's all you've seen of the Christian culture. It's sad. It really is.

I am a christian, and im furious with everyone who abuses their positions in the name of the following of God. Bush is one of those, and I do get sickened by him and everyone like him. However, I did not protest those like him without the usage of belief in god. There are many who portray themselves as though they are christians, but speak very unchristian things. There are many who don't believe in god, who have very christian things in their personality. Judging all others based on one aspect of one persons beliefs and putting them all in the same category is very wrong. I am a christian, and I do not agree with anything about bush.

The Christian right is the only reason Bush is still in office. Why would they protest him?
edit: Sure, thumb me down. But how many of you Christians watched Passion of the Christ after Mel Gibson said it was a vision from God telling him to make the movie? Isn't that the exact same thing? After all, he was just doing God's work too.

You know there are Christians that are not Bush fans, but the Word says that we are to pray for and submit to our government authority. I'm not in His position and have no idea what God is telling him. I may not agree with it, but there's alot of times I don't agree with God. We talk it over and eventually I see it his way..He's always right!

You sure as hell won't find any Evangelicals protesting him, that's for damn sure. I was watching the 700 Club and I heard some fool say" Bush was God's gift to America". My girlfriend replied to me when she heard that " where is the receipt so we can take it back? " Seriously though, more moderate faiths I'm sure have protested him. .... Great question !!!

Georgie has led some Christians to believe that he essentially is Christ Incarnate. After all, he does have a Messianic complex.
