Hyperechoic is usually a term related to ultrasounds.

It refers to a material that produces echoes that are stronger than the surrounding medium.

It can also be used to indicate an area on an ultrasound image where the echoes are stronger than normal.

Its an ultrasound term. An ultrasound uses " waves" ( echos) to assess tissue size. The term " echogenecity "can be used to describe the tissue in relation to another tissue or as compared to its normal state. Yeah, this is technical. Hyperechoic basically means the tissue is more echogenic ( brighter) than normal. Ask your Doc about the ultrasound results. I hope this helps.
