They are an exclusive cult convinced they are the sole possessors of the truth. They have many very plausible things to say, but I believe their greatest error is they deny the divinity of Jesus Christ. You can embrace some errors and still be saved, but to deny the divinity of Jesus is to rob the Gospel of its saving power, because the power of the Gospel lies in this truth: It was God who suffered for us on the cross in the person of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jehovah Witnesses teach Jesus is Michael the Archangel. (read Hebrews chapter 1 to rebut this)

What will Jesus do during his 1000 year kingdom?

Jehovah ´s witness preach that Jesus after Armageddon and destruction of evildoers, Satan and his demons will be "Jailed" for 1000 years in the mean time Jesus will rule the earth with a group redeemed from earth (Revelation 5:10, 14:1-5) will resurrect people (Acts 24:15 and John 5:28-29) will provide food and eliminate famines (Psalm 72:16) will restore the health of humans (Isaiah 35:5-6, 33:24) will eliminate the death and the cause of the death and suffering (Revelation 21:4) in resumen will transform the earth in a great place to live a "new earth" the original purpose of God with Adam and Eve before they sinned (Genesis 1:28) .
After 1000 years , Satan will be release and mankind will have a second test and after that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire (destroyed) and Jesus give the kingdom to his father (Jehovah) (1 Corithians 15:28).

Well i'll give you the basics because seemingly everyone is giving opinions and not alot of info.
1. The name: Jehovah is the name of God in the original scrolls of the Bible. The witness part of it come from a scripture in Isiah saying "you are my witnesses" concerning those who followed his word (Bible)
2: Basics:
What: They follow the original text bible and translated it into languages needed. They go door to door as the bible commands and as Jesus did along with anywhere and everywhere to preach the good news as Jesus talked about and show Bible truths no one has ever understood or even cared to read about.
Why: Many people have questioned doctrines and traditions of the churches and read the bible and looked up history to see what was wrong. Such as Micheal Servetus. But it started with a man such as he and asked people publicly to read their bibles and really learn it. So a whole bunch of ppl from different religions got together and did research alot of it too. they were called Bible students. Eventually this grew into larger groups and made manifested the name Jehovah's witnesses.

Do Not: believe in trinity (pagan, made by Constantine), celebrate holidays(pagan backround), take blood tranfusions, baptize babies, translate the bible differently, get involved with political affairs.

DO: believe in Jesus as our Savior (and love him for it everyday!), celebrate weddings and anniversaries and give presents whenever, have lives...we are all human we arent weird we just want to follow the bible and do what we can to show appreciation.

** Plz, we are not a cult, we do believe in jesus. and we do have resonable back up for everything. We do not "bash" other religions or persons we just reveal things from the bible.

I've had Witness friends, so I'll do my best.
Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian sect. They believe in the Christian God, and that Jesus is the Son of God, but not God himself (as in the Catholic Trinity.)
Witnesses are well-known for not celebrating so-called Christian holidays like Christmas (because they are not advised to in the Bible) as well as birthdays, which they feel glorifies the self.
They also don't believe in blood transfusions, because of a verse in the Bible advising followers not to partake of blood.
They feel it's their duty to spread the word of God by going door-to-door. Rather than a "heaven" for all followers, they believe in a paradise here on earth except for a "ruling" class in heaven of 144,000 people selected by God to do so. Say what you want about Witnesses, but every one of them I've ever met were good, decent people who actually practiced what they preached, unlike a lot of other "Christians" out there.
Hope this helped :)

You mean Jehovah's Witness? Well we are normal people just like everyone else. We just don't celebrate holidays and we don't take blood and other things we don't participate in because we just live our life according to the Bible's standards. And do what Jesus Christ(God, Jehovah's son)commanded us to do at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. The website below is the official Jehovah's Witnesses site. Most people mark us as a cult but that is NOT TRUE!

Jehovah’s Witnesses are an international religious organization that rejects much of modern mainstream Christianity in favour of what they believe is a restored form of first-century Christianity.[1][2] Jehovah's Witnesses are governed by their understanding of Scriptural laws and principles based on instructions received from the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. is a legal organization in use by Jehovah’s Witnesses for their ministry work.
The religion was developed in response “to what they saw as compromise and corruption in mainstream Christianity.”[3] They dispute doctrines such as the Trinity, hellfire, immortality of the soul, and clergy-laity divisions as illegitimate additions to the original Christian teachings.[4] The name "Jehovah’s Witnesses" is based on Isaiah 43:10, and was adopted in 1931.[5] The Watchtower Society has been publishing religious materials since the late 19th century, its most widely known publications being the magazines The Watchtower and Awake. They believe that God's name is Jehovah (a derivative of the Tetragrammaton[73]), and that its use is a requirement for true worship.[74] Jesus is believed to be God's first creation, and thus is considered to be an independent entity from God who was used by Him to create everything else.[75] Jesus is literally the only begotten Son of God, and received his life from God. He is the only means by which to approach God in prayer, and is also the means of salvation for all worthy mankind. They believe that only Jesus Christ is their leader (Matt.23:10), and he is a head of Congregation(Col.1:18), and those who are taking the lead (a president of Watch Tower Society, members of governing body and elders) must obey him. Their view of morality often reflects conservative Christian views. Homosexuality and premarital sex are considered sins.[90] Abortion is considered murder.[91] Modesty is heavily encouraged in dress and grooming. Gambling is strictly forbidden.[92] The family structure is patriarchal. The husband is considered the final authority on family decisions, but is strongly encouraged to solicit his wife's thoughts and feelings. Marriages are required to be monogamous.[93] They are widely criticized for their literal interpretation of the scriptures that prohibit eating or storing blood. (Leviticus 17:13,14; Acts 15:28,29) This interpretation leads to the controversial conclusion that blood should not be transfused. [94] Practices that connote nationalism or false religion are avoided. Weddings, anniversaries, and funerals are typically observed; however, common celebrations and religious or national holidays such as birthdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are regarded as unchristian and are not celebrated.[95] Witnesses are perhaps best known for the vigorous efforts by all members to spread their beliefs throughout the world. They do this mainly by visiting people house to house,[96] [97] but also in a variety of other ways. They use Watchtower publications to explain their beliefs. Literature is published in many languages through a wide variety of books, magazines and other publications, with a small number being available in as many as 410 languages.

Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion which understands the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

obviously, the best place to find accurate information is their website or in one of their churches

I have seen countless number of hate-sites against them like 'carm' and 'watchman' but their predjudice is so transparent it is laughable.
you wont get accurate information from 'carm'

I find it fascinating and very interesting to see Jesus' words;

John 15:19; "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you." (NASB)

Matthew 5:11-12; "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (NIV)

I have found one website beside the official JW website that seems to be accurate and unbiased; try

but then thats just an overview; for more, reliable details go to the official JW site:

contrary to what many "christians" will say, JW are not a sect or a cult. we are recognized by by the united states, the geneva convention, and the united nations as a (say it with me) RELIGON. we do beleive in jesus christ and that he died for all of our sins. we do not believe that jesus is god, however we do believe he is gods' son. we reject the teaching of the trinity, as there is no strong scriptural support of it.andmany of our memebers are ex catholics and protestants also most of the sites except for watchtower.org are misinformed, and therefore incorrect. why do they go from house to house? because jesus did the very same and if you notify us that you would not like to visit your home anymore we are glad to oblige. so in short, we are just like everybody else:Normal

Sweetheart, it would take way too long on here to go into all of the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses, but I can give you a small breakdown. If you want to learn more, feel free to contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and they will happily go through your questions and answer them from your own Bible.
1) We believe that there is a Grand Creator, who's name is Jehovah. We believe that Jehovah's firstborn creation came to earth in obedience to his Father's will to die in atonement for man kinds sins, and was known as Jesus Christ.
2)We believe that faith in Jesus' sacrificial death, and the doing of the works that Jesus asked of us are the key elements to a relationship with Jehovah.
3) We believe that there is no place of burning torment that God burns non-believers in forever and ever. We believe that there is no soul that survives death, and that if you were obedient to God, you will be resurrected and given the chance to live in perfection on a parasidic earth, just as God intended for man in the first place. Your choices are these: obedience and life everlasting, or disobedience and you stay dead when you die, with no hope of a relationship with Jehovah.
These are some, but definitely not all of our beliefs. I urge you,
Please contact someone who can answer your questions in detail, in the privacy of your own home! Agape!
