I say, it's right to have sex only if you have weighed the aftermath consequences in your head and have come to a responsible conclusion involving the following:
1...birth control?
2...how steady is this relationship?
3...are you ready to handle this emotional attachment?
4...are you mature enough to handle this?
Nobody is perfect, and it's very rare to find a virgin at marriage, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Sex is a natural thing between two people, and I don't know if I'd tell my son to just "go for it and get some!!," but I know nature is nature. Just be responsible and be sure you are giving your "gift" to someone special.
Good luck on your decision. It's the first of many adult decisions you get to make.

I think...you shouldn't PLAY house until you can AFFORD one! You see, we get caught up in what age is best emotionally when if we just waited until getting pregnant was totally a consequence to the two people who created the child, no one would think twice. It's when children are born to teenage mothers and fathers who's education gets cut short and grandparents are left to support a child they didn't conceive is the problem. So I say, when you are totally able, on your own, to care for the child, should an unplanned pregnancy occur, then you are ready. Until you're ready to bear the consequence of your action, then you have no business going down that road. And, I'm NOT talking about government assistance!

Is it healthy? Are you serious? Why do you think there are so many STDs being spread about, or all of the people dying of AIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not having sex before you get married and not being with multiple partners is what is healthy! Why do you think God has made that a law? To protect us from such things! He doesn't say to wait to spoil our fun. He knows what is best for us. You should start having sex on your wedding night! No exceptions! God's commandment! Trust me it is soooo worth the wait. My husband and I were both virgins on our wedding night. It has been 4 wonderful years! We couldn't be happier that we waited! And now we have a great sex life that we have made together because of our strong relationship. And don't listen to people who say it's okay outside of marriage! Why do you think the world is in such bad shape? Because people don't listen God!

Wants to may not be the right term.
Sex should only be initiated after the desire has set in, you have met a trusting partner, AND have all of the right sexual education.
----AND have talked to their doctor about the decision. Girls don't forget your pap smears!

It's not healthy to have sex until you're married. Abstinence is healthy for your marriage and children when they come along. You'll be glad in the long-run.

No. I think a person should wait until they feel they are mature enough to handle the responsibility. I don't like to put an age limit on things, but if it was up to me, I suggest people should wait until they are 18 or older.

i think the older the better.. maybe 18 atleast (and with the right person) because you dont want to worry about being a young parent or carrying std's due to ignorance. its not worth it.. trust me

You should only have sex when you are really ready to. You shoudn't do it because some one pressures you to, or if you aren't ready or because of moral standpoint.
