Weather and climate changes has been going on since the beginning of time. It will continue as long as time continues. Hairspray and fumes from cars, etc. has no bearing on climate changes. It's a natural act of nature.

There have been natural changes in the past. But the data clearly shows that the present warming is mostly caused by man.

Honestly, did you think thousands of climatologists just ignored the possibility that this is a natural change? They've tried that theory from every angle, and the numbers just don't work. The numbers using greenhouse gases as the primary cause _do_ work.
Note the key word in this quote "quantitative":
"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know... Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point. You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."
Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

That's not true. Ice ages do not occur every 10 000 years. They do occur from time to time, but no one has been able to find any pattern like this. Many different factors are in play here, so it's a very complicated phenomenon.
The cause of the current phase of global warming is not completely known, but human activity is certainly contributing to it. Whether it would be happening to a lesser extent if humans were not involved, nobody knows. But the great increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (caused mostly by burning fossil fuels like coal and petroleum), combined with widespread deforestation (trees consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen), are absolutely causing the temperature of the earth's surface to increase. The increase and the rate of increase is much greater than can be explained by purely natural causes.

You need to do more research. Yes, there have been cycles of warming and cooling in Earth's history, but the temperature is rising much higher and more steadily than ever before. The relationship between global industrialization and warming could be a correlation, but the scientists who are actually taking the time to study this see it as causation.
There's really no incentive for scientists to claim something as huge as this if they didn't believe it...I'm always surprised by the skeptics on this. Science welcomes the truth, even when it is surprising.

These are very small scale events compared to those involved in global warming. The colsest thing in geologic history is the Permian Extinction, but it took thousands of years, not the 1-200 we're seeing now.
Here's a story from today's news, although it just confirms older findings.

The planet has been going through warming cycles for millions of years now without man made pollution fueling it. I believe that we are in one of those cycles now and that pollution is helping speed up the process. As a matter of fact every planet in the solar system is warming up, so there has to be some other cause for this instead of pollution, maybe the sun or some unexplained force in the universe.
However, that's still not an excuse to continue polluting the environment. We still need to consume fewer resources, and invest in cleaner, non-polluting technologies, instead of using that money to fight wars over oil and religion.

yes i believe pollution is to blame ..the IPCC (intergovernmental panel for climate change), a highly accredited group of actual scientists and experts from around the globe, put the probability that global warming is the direct result of human pollution at greater than 90% in their last published report ... although there are the variables of spontaneous variability within the climate system and natural forcing, everything points to a positive radiative forcing including a higher level of greenhouse gases that have no natural cause such as halocarbons, concentrations of gases predominantly over land in the more heavily populated northern hemishere, and an out of balance atmosphere layer where the troposphere (lower) has warmed and the stratosphere has cooled which seems to be opposite of what would be expected from a purely solar activity cause ..

Global warming is currently a ‘get-rich-quick’ scheme and it is blatantly obvious, otherwise the Governments would be harnesses the power of water, rather than opting to push funding into wind turbines which require very high maintenance, and cost to build in comparison to water wheels which the industrial era thrived off. Most recycle schemes in local districts are a scam in order to gain more funding. It is a fantastic excuse for ‘congestion’ charges.
I have no doubt humans are adding to climate change, though I am under no illusions that it isn’t something that we can prevent, rather the natural order of things, however that doesn't mean doing nothing, it is far better to live 'green'.
Most scientists are now backing away from the theory because they are realising this will eventually be known, and the general public are going to be very annoyed at the extra costs we’ve occurred and look to the Government, who are then going to point to the scientists who are going to be held accountable.
I support the true spirit of recycling, and I have always recycled, recycling doesn’t end at dropping plastic and cardboard into a box to be sent out to sites costing huge amounts of money which is subsidised and even more money regained through reselling value, sending plastic and cardboard off to the local nursery/primary and infant schools who will absolutely adore giving the items to good use for the children, and then going down the modern recycling routes.
Finding a practical use for something you otherwise would of thrown away -is- recycling.

Yes, though previously global multi volcanic eruptions provided natures own pollution - suppose with mankind's present "could not give a monkeys" attitude it helps create an ice age every 1000 years.
never say never.

The real agenda is to give the United Nations total control over your life. Get with the program. It's for the good of all mankind. They know what's best for you.
