I am putting a bathroom in my basement and it would be easier to drain in the vent pipe by the sumpump.

Actually the vent line is part of the main drain line so it will all end up there in the long run.Just be sure you put in a what is called a "pee trap" so the sewer gas cannot come back through the line.

If the vent pipe goes into the sump, no. This would cause the sump pump to discharge human waste to wherever it drains. Each fixture (sink, toilet and tub/shower) needs to tie into the house vent besides being attached to the drainline.
