Or even allow it?

Why does God allow people to murder?
Why does God allow people to commit adultery?
It really has to do with the fact that God, is allowing us humans the chance to prove whether or not we can rule ourselves without his direction.
On the issue of slavery, the slavery of the Bible, is not the slavery, as we know it today. In Bible times, people willingly sold themselves into slavery, and as such, God gave his people rules on the treatment of these salves. The slaves of later times, down to today, are typically people who were ripped from their homes, and sold into slavery against their will.
God, does not condone slavery, but he allows it. In the future, there will be no slavery when God's kingdom directs it's attention to the earth, and all people will be free.

Reiterated: Just because something is allowed, does not mean that it is approved (condoned).

Forgive me for asking but why is it on these pages time after time there are so many examples of God getting the blame be it this God or that God
You do realize we were given free will you know this ability to think, to choose and act for ourselves and unless we choose to live as some mind control slave those options are always there

Regarding this particular question I know of no account were a God has ever condoned what You claim If there is one about I would be very grateful if you would direct me to it's source

If you tell a person something often enough in the end they may believe you right... right

It is said this is the world of illusion

I can find some account that suggest how slaves should be treated but none were a God actually condones this

It is said in the present times there are more than 12.3 million people living in slavery I haven't heard of God condoning that either

Every society has slave labor including America. Look at Immigration here.
It was a social necessity. God didn't condone it He allowed it. There were reasons why people ended up in slavery including the Whole Hebrew Nation in Egypt. As God punished His own people for disobedience. Just as you should your own children.
God Bless!

God has NOTHING to do with slavery; that was ALL MAN'S DOING. We all have what is called FREE WILL, which means we have the right to choose which path we will take in life and what we do in any given situation. God does NOT interfere with free will. If he did, we'd be nothing more than robots. You can blame slavery on the Illuminati, the globalists who control everything on the planet. By the way, it STILL exists. We are ALL still slaves of the goverment and Big Business.

God has limited Himself by human choice. When he gave humans the right to choose He opened the door for evil things to happen in the world. Thus He allowed slavery.

God allows slavery and the reason is that all who do not know Him as Savior and Lord are already in Spiritual Slavery to Satan and the Flesh. So a logical question to you would be have you been set free from the slavery to sin?

Excellent answer FOXTROT. The only thing i would debate in your answer is the God is not allowing us to see if we can rule ourselves. He knows we can't. But we don't know it yet. He has to let us prove to the history books that He will flash in the face of those who don't want Him to come back when He does. He can say "Look, You have tried it all and it all failed."

But for the slavery issue. The old covenant is done away. it was based on a legalistic set of rules. (in which slavery was allowed) But the new covenant is not a legalistic one, but one of love and love has no room for slavery.

As bad as slavery was, I can think of a few things worse that 'he' allowed but a better question on topic would be, why did he allow folks to SELL their brethren into slavery? I mean, conquering populations and putting them into slavery is bad enough, but SELLING your brethren?

God started the ball rolling. Mankind determines, through free will, the direction in which the ball rolls. Slavery is not a God ordained institution, it is of, and by, man.

Adam and Eve were disobedient to God and that brought sin into this world. As long as their is sin there will be slavery, murder, greed, injustice, etc...... Get over it people, God gave us a choice to either obey or disobey. As a parent why do your children not listen to you? Why do you as a parent allow their disobedience? It is the same with God, He gives us so much freedom and very little restrictions, but we as simple humans choose to disobey.
