You'll work long hours, and weekends. Forget about "mon-fri 9a-5"! It is not like selling iPhones!

Timeshares are expensive and it takes a long time to talk people into spending the money on something that is not tangible.

There is a reason why worldmark has "win a car" leaflets in a bazillion stores. When you sign up for the "competition", you disclose your income. Then they pick the folks making $75,000 a year or more, and call them and nag them to attend a sales presentation.

That is where folks like you will try and put the screws on the visitors. You should aim to close a deal with 5% of the folks who you talk to during the presentation.

WorldMark is a joke. Just like the rest of the timeshare industry. Maybe 5% of their sales staff make $80K or more.

Actually... No, pilots usually will not start out making 80k a year, however other jobs in aviation do pay well. Such as a Air Traffic controller. I believe starting pay is around 75k at a large controller facility, such as New York Center. Other than that, pay is low starting out in this field. And remember folks, just because thus user mentions aviation, doesn't mean a Airline Pilot. There are many other jobs in the aviation field other than a pilot.

If yo're a really good salesman, there's no limit on what you can make. Selling timeshares is a real tough way to start. Try to avoid selling to your family members if you love them.

Don't believe it unless you are already a sucessful fast talking top salesman somewhere else.
I remember my millionaire brother in law - his wife paid all the bills while he was progressing.
As soon as he became a millionaire he divorced his faithful loving wife.
It is said that behind every successful man there is a woman helping him and picking him up from his downfalls.

Of course not, it's commission based...and you'll be lucky to make 10,000. Timeshares are a dime a dozen and in low demand.

Don't spend the $80K until you see it. You'd only get that if you sold a heck of a lot of timeshare units.
