Imagine the following scenario: John Doe is a Christian man. He prays every day, goes to church, and lives his life by the Bible. He is totally committed to God. However, he has diabetes and due to neurological problems in his leg, he has had to have his right leg amputated at the knee. The loss of a leg has caused him to give up coaching football and has caused him great depression. One night he closes his eyes and prays that God returns his leg to him. The next day he feels a strange feeling in his leg. He gets out his camcorder and sets it up. Within an hour, a perfectly real leg has grown back and is fully functional. The entire event is captured on video. It is shown on the news around the world. Millions of atheists convert to Christianity and admit that they were wrong. Believers who once had doubts, now have no doubt whatsoever that God is real. There are still some atheists, but not many. Now: God wants us all to believe in him, doesn’t he? We all know that God has never healed an amputee. Why not? Why doesn’t God perform an undeniable miracle like this?

For the same reason, according to the bible, that god and satan tortured job. To test the faith of their followers. If there were a god, he/she/it could solve all of these arguments with ONE SINGLE APPEARANCE!!! The gods of the religionists are fictional, that is why there are no major miracles.

How do we all know that God has not healed an amputee? God has performed so many miracles in the past and still going strong today. It is just not turned into a national televised event. There are reasons people are the way that they are, everyone has a purpose. God may have a a purpose for taking someones leg. Read the book "90 Minutes In Heaven". Perfectly healthy preacher coming back from a church convention. He got himself into a car wreck and was dead in his car. He was revived and he went through troubles with his legs. God did heal him. He was able to walk and get around even though it took alot of time. He didn't think he was healed because he didn't get healed the way that he wanted to be healed. It took him a long time to realize what God was doing with him and what God had done with him. That pastor turned out to be more a blessing to people after his wreck and his experiences.
We as human beings are small insignifigant and just here. We are unworthy to question God for His ways or His reasoning of doing things. We are to trust and to believe and know that He will do what is best for us when it is all said and done.
The Bible says that you do not test the Lord your God. You don't say if you are God, heal that man over there missing a leg. If you do, don't expect it to happen. God won't answer you - at least not in a way that you expect Him to.
God wants you to believe in Him. God is always there watching over you , waiting to see if you will notice Him. He wants you to walk by faith and not by sight. He gives you signs in everyday life that He is real and that He can do miracles for you. You have to want it, to see it, to find it , to have it.

How do you know God has never healed an amputee? Maybe some where in the depths Africa, some guy got his arm or leg back and didn't have the ability to tell people all over the world. Just his community knows.

To answer your real question, God performs miracles for people every day. Small things like making them 15 minutes late for something which means that they just missed a reckless driver who would've caused an accident with them. he answers prayer all the time for people who want a good job or who want to be healed of cancer. He saves people from things they surely would've died from had He not been there to protect them - sometimes without a scratch on their bodies or a hair singed on their heads. Did you ever hear of Lazarus? Jesus brought him back from the DEAD! And there were a couple others he brought back from the dead too. Jesus himself was brought back from the dead by God and news of that was spread all over the place. But in that time, were there still atheists and people who didn't believe that Jesus was the son of God? Yes! And it would be that way today too. Undeniable miracles are performed every day and were performed every day by a living, breathing, human being here on earth but there were still plenty of people who didn't believe and wanted him killed. Don't you think it would be like that today?

Unfrozen Caveman,
Yeah right and if the queen of England had balls she'd be the king right?
Do really think God is some guy in the sky with a thought process as weak as yours or mine? do you think I believe that? you also have a twisted notion of what a christian is.
Try to think out side the box just a teeny weeny bit. You'll be surprised that what a simple leap of faith might help you in.
I am not a Bible reading christian nor am I church going christian but I do believe that we have evolved enough to know in our heart of hearts that there is kernel of truth to all this God business. No guy in the sky passing judgment or keeping a running tally on every body's sin. Nope just plain common sense says that if my brain is connected to the universe then I will continue after my body has died. So what happens who knows but I do not believe we simply disappear.

You are missing the point and I am not the one to give it to you, however I will tell you this, keep loving God. Don't stop because your leg is gone, God has a plan for you and you will see just thank him because your life here on earth could have been over with. He kept you for a reason just continue to pray and he will reveil it to you soon. I know you should continue to coach. He will heal you in ways you can't imagine. stay strong with your belief and let him know you don't understand but you still love him. Check out this vedio FACING THE GRAINTS, it will give you some understanding. Get my e-mail and let me know after you have seen the movie. Also God will heal your heart first and the rest will come so , like I said keep loving God.

This may be because your God doesn't exist. There are just many coincidences that cause people to believe there is a god, other than looking at the scientifical explanation for it. I do not know for fact that this man's leg was "returned" but I do doubt it. There are hoaxes people perform to gain followers. This question is one that nonbelievers ask believers because they know there is no reason, and there is no god.

Because just as Yahshua said in his time even though they see the things I do they will not believe. Miracle's do not cause belief. The atheist would try to figure out how this guy pulled off his illusion or say hes the next step in human evolution.

I hope it didn't take you too long to think this up. I'd hate to think that you actually thought this out.

The funniest part of your story is when you say, "millions of atheists convert to Christianity." If their heart was that soft they would already believe. If their sight was that good they would already see the truth. They wouldn't convert they would argue it away and since science can't prove God they would not believe in God anyway, they would come up with some other reason or explination.

How do you know God has never healed an amputee? Because it's not documented on the internet, or because a speaker on youtube said it?

He's done harder things than that just in my life!

Our full physical healing awaits us in Heaven. In Heaven, there will be no more pain, sickness, disease, suffering, or death (Revelation chapter 21). We all need to be less preoccupied with our physical condition in this world, and be a little more preoccupied with our spiritual condition (Romans 12:1-2). Then, we can focus our hearts on heaven and when we will no longer have to deal with physical problems, Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
