where to get help to help pay for eye glasses already ordered?

my wife ordered eye glasses ,then we found out it will cost $200.00 . we are on a low income we need help we don't have that kind of money, where can we get help????

Check with the local Prevention of Blindness. Local Lions Clubs, & Local Churches. You might not get enough from one source but between them all you should be able to get enough assistance to be able to get them

If you have a health insurance policy, you should check into whether your policy covers the purchase of eyeglasses. You might be able to get the glasses for half the price if your insurance policy will cover it.

But otherwise, you will have to pay the money.

You might go to wal-mart and see if they have any options for about $100. Then you can cancel your order with the other compnay. But I think a good pair of glasses will cost at least $100.

Can you put it on a credit card (that delays having to pay for about 20-30 days), and you could just do the minimum payments untill you scrape together enough dough to pay it off in full. As some of the others said, if your "poor enough" you might qualify for some kind of government assistance.

It is interesting to note the number of people on Yahoo Answers who say they're too poor to pay for something; but obviously, they were able to afford a computer!

You should have gone to Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. They do have a package of eyewear for only $89. I am not sure where you live, and it is an everyday value and I am sure that they will give you a discount.
