England and the US were allies in WW2 (and still are). Both countries invaded Sicily and then Italy. The Italians surrendered soon after and captured Mussolini, but the Germans sprung him and set him up with a puppet regime in Northern Italy.
So in answer to your question, both England and the US won over Italy. Its a little late to gloat, don't you think? I mean, it was over 50 years ago.

The Allies, that is a combination of countries including the Americans, the British, the Polish, the Indian, the Gurkhas, to name but a few were in the invasion of Italy.
They were mainly opposed by the Germans and the Italians.
Why gloat ? does it make you feel stronger or better, if so you are just a vain little boy.Its better to pity all the dead civilians and members of the Allied Forces who gave their lives for freedom.
As soon as they got the chance the Italians were part of the Allied Forces (as they were in World War 1).
The enemy of the time was fascism which was created by Benitto Mussolini first and copied by Hitler.

It was a combination of both British commonwealth (so that includes the ANZACs amongst others) and American forces, just as many things were in WW2.
Sambuka was just originally made in Italy - it's made everywhere now, just as not all lager is brewed in Germany.
I don't think either country has bragging rights, the invasion didn't go particularly well, and what was gained was gained by shared effort.

Well it was really an Allied victory. That included the US, Great Britain, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Free French, Free Polish, etc. And you can gloat if you want to, but your gloating rights are diminished unless you were there.
As for Italians not being able to fight, they fought well when they had good leadership. Italians under Rommel were great soldiers.

Both the British and Americans defeated the Italians, who surrendered early in 1943. But then both the Brits and Americans had to fight the Germans in italy, and this is where the real bloodbath began--due to German occupation.
If you want to get real about it, Russia really won WW II in Europe and American won it in the Pacific. The British certainly gave America the base it needed, but I doubt very much that Britain would ever have been able to invade the European continent without US aid, and I doubt that America would ever have been able to defeat Germany without Russia killing 80% of the German army.
