Being an atheist does not have anything to do with liking or disliking god. As an atheist I do not believe that god exists. How can I like or dislike something that does not exists? I don't. The best way to discribe it is that I have not feelings one way or the other.

You've been around R&S long enough to know that atheists do not believe in god therefore cannot dislike 'him'.
Null question.
On the other hand, believers have done a fair bit to annoy me through the years. Asking inane questions that they already know the answers to is just one of these things.

Maurice, there is a problem, other than your incapacity to form a plural, with your thinking.
1. In order to dislike a person or an entity, one has to believe that that person or entity exists.
2. Atheists do not believe that God exists.
Look very carefully at those two statements, then at your question.

I said it before and I'll say it again. How can I not like something that does not exist? If god does exist then why hasn't he shown himself to the world? Sorry I can not accept that random people have "seen" god; I want him to show himself on a global scale in order for me to believe in him.

Disbelief and dislike are not synonymous. Why don't you like reality? Why don't you like Zeus or the Boogey man? What did they ever do to you?
Yet another example of an ignorant Christian assumption. Totally inaccurate perception of atheists.

there are many different reasons for being an atheist. just being an atheist doesnt mean you depise God. for example, i believe in science, and the theory of evolution, and the story of creation contradicts all the scientific evidence. there is no evidence to back up the bible

Atheists simply do not believe in the existence of invisible, magical sky-fairies (gods). It is impossible to like or dislike something which you do not think exists. Therefore, your question is nonsensical.

Since an atheist doesn't believe that God exists, I don't think they could hate God. It would be sort of pointless, would it not?

No, they can't hate what they don't exist. They blaspheme him only to tick off you smug, masturbatory, sick, perverted and twisted christians. They do it, because you claim to be of love and understanding, but froth at the mouth gnashing your teeth violently trying to smite them. They make fun of you because you are a sub-human stench reeking animal that deserves to be tortured for the amusement of the human race. And because when it makes you snap and lash out, it damns you irreversably. It's like getting a self-righteous vegan to snap and eat steak. All this time they badgered you and tried to make you feel guilty... but here you catch them eating meat, in the flesh, red handed and all they can do is weep and squeal.
Squeal for me, Mr. Christian.

It isn't a question of liking God. I simply don't believe such a being exists at all.
