Thank you guys, for your wise answers...Marcus: revenge does not exist in my dictionary;) grudges and hatred don't exist either for me...it's just that it hurts so bad:(((...a selfish heartless person just leaves me speechless...such behaviours go beyond my comprehension...and I just get hurt...it's not "rejection" what I'm talking about, it's just lack of conscience....how sad....

you can't look to others for inspiration. The fact that things are as you correctly noticed should be all the inspiration you need. If you think it's hard to bear all of those selfish and heartless people, imaging BEING them? They have no soul and you do so such is the situation that has always been and always will be, but that doesn't mean to not try and help them to find their soul.

Well, my faith is in God and not in people...but...I really think there are ALOT of good people out there, but sometimes we get on a roll where all we see are the 'not so nice' ones.

We just have to keep being the 'light' in this dark world and keep doing little things that are nice for people. Example, holding doors open for people, smiling at people, if you have a cartload of stuff and the person behind you has only a couple of things, invite them to go ahead of you, etc. But...what makes me boil is if you do something nice....and they can't even say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I'm doing it to be nice to them, but they can have enough respect to say thanks.

The world will just keep getting worse with people getting worse cause everything is so messed up. What was good is now bad, what was unacceptable is now acceptable, etc. It's a messed up world now more than ever.

The only thing that keeps me positive and moving forward is the joy I have in my heart cause I know Jesus died for me and I know that earth is not my home...heaven is, and someday (hopefully soon!) I/we will be there!!!!!!

Have a great day!

If you don't have any values and principles, then you can hardly complain about other's lack of values in principles.

If you do have values and principles, then don't you think it's a little vain to say that it's hard to believe that there are still good people out there? (Based on the assumption that you are the only human that holds these values?)

I do share some of your sentiments, but you have to look for the individual good in people, not good in society as a whole.

geesh...where do you live and where do you keep your eyes focused?

If you watch the news every evening...yes, it only shows the bad....it is the sensationalistic stuff that makes the news....but, for every bad story you see...there are hundreds of good things happening, that do not make the news....

A friend helping a friend...a stranger helping someone with a flat tire....a philanthropist building a new wing to a hospital...a child picking some flowers for an elderly person...a neighbor mowing the lawn for a neighbor...the volunteers at a food bank, people racing for a cure, on and on and on...the world is filled with good people doing good things.

Why do so many focus on the bad? Why are your eyes not on God? If you are truly a Christian, why do you not shine with the joy that God gives you?

The world is a beautiful place...and God has blessed us immensly...especially, in the U.S....even our poor live better than the middle class in most countries....we have health, we have wealth, we have protection.... We have beauty in the mountains, oceans, plains and prairies...even in my neighborhood..there is a duck pond...and I can sit for hours and just be amazed in my own little corner of the world...

I suggest you set your sights on God...and not on man.

Lo siento. When I feel like that, I know that I've missed a meal and I need to take a break. Turn off the TV, because it never shows the good in the world.

I'm a fairly optimistic person, and I have to say that when I smile and say "hi" to people, they respond and treat me well. Until proven otherwise, I assume that everyone I know is absolutely swell.

No, I never get tired of believing in humanity's inate goodness. What I do get tired of, are finger pointers who like to find fault in others just to make themselves feel and look better. Nobody's perfect, but I believe that most people want to do better. There's always the exception to the rule, but on the whole, people are good.

OK. Too bad. Get over it. Human goodness is the driving force of survival. Just because you have been rejected by another person does not devalue you, and it does not make this person selfish, and without principle and value. Be happy it happened. Now you are free to look around.

i know its hard to believe their are good people out there after being broken hearted so many times but truth is, there are. like someone said before its hard to see through the lens of a broken heart. but trust and believe there are good people out there. you choose who you let get close to your heart so pick through the weeds of the world and you will find some of the most beautiful flowers you have ever seen

let me share something with you:
someone I love is in jail for something she brought on to herself. She can be a good person, but she has lied and stolen from me and others, especially her family. I am very sad but I am trying to get into other things to take my mind off.
Anne Frank stated that people are basically good. That is true in a sense. I think we are born to be good, but then we get involved with evil and free will and all that stuff. Like you, I am dealing with a lot of crap and I get her saying "get me out of here" and I really can't. She burned too many bridges and I..I cannot help her...She has hurt me too much.
Look at me, I went on and I was trying to help you out. Do you have any friends? If so, talk to them. I pray but I take it away from God so that "I try to figure things out." that is wrong...
Pray on it...don't give up. there are some good folks out there. If you need to talk, contact me

Sorry to hear about your broken heart, most of us have experienced it too but we keep on living. Those who cannot get over the feeling lose their lives, generally, after many years of suffering and feeling sorry for themselves. Perhaps if you could understand that by being selfless we can't have your problem, but perhaps revenge is more to your liking, so live and prove the heartbreaker wrong.
