I want to turn myself in because I got a letter saying I had a warrent out for my arrest, but I don't want to go to jail. I didn't even know when the court date was or anything.

It's your responsibility to find out when your court date is.

You'll spend a ton more than it's worth fighting it. I sincerely doubt you didn't get the ticket, more than likely you just pitched it in the floor and forgot about it. Either way don't tell that tale in court, you won't see any sympathy.

You should call the court, ask them what you need to do. Pay the fines and go on with your life. Odds are you won't do time if you man up and take responsibility without a bunch of whining excuses. If you get silly and keep telling an unbelievable story you will certainly spend way more and possibly do a little work farm time.

If you have more then 3 demerrit points and more then 300$ fine (renewing a license after suspension will cost more than that) then you should consult the agency who can fight the traffic ticket for you ASAP.

Go turn yourself in. Pay the fine and get your license back. Be sure to yell them you want to see a copy of the ticket, since you seem to have "misplaced" yours.

You asked "Can I get out of that?" - Maybe. Probably not without the help of a lawyer.
